Dr. Stella Diai
Welcome! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The primary focus of my practice is to help my clients to reach their potentials. I have been privileged to work in the helping profession for the past fifteen years. I believe that the entire process begins by identifying those stumbling blocks in the lives of the individuals that prevented them from achieving their desired goals. I maintain a high level of openness with my clients having realized over the year that what matters most in therapy is the client /therapist relationship. I truly believe that it is the relationship that heals. My practice incorporates the client-centered, non-directive approach, the cognitive behavior approach and the eclectic approach with the understanding that every individual is unique and should be treated as an individual. The use of compassion, empathy and unconditional positive regard are the core elements of treatment in my practice. I specialize in psychotherapy with individuals of all ages with various mental health diagnoses and behavioral issues. I have extensive experience working with families and children. Additionally, I run Anger management courses. I look forward to working with you.

I am a marriage and family therapist with 9 years of experience counseling a wide range of clients. I have worked with clients on grief and loss, depression and anxiety as well as substance abuse concerns. I take a warm approach with clients and use a client centered approach to therapy. I have been trained in cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy and approach the sessions in a collaborative manner always working together with people I am working with. I respect that you took this step to seek out a listening ear and I look forward to working together with you on this journey. I was born in New York and as a young child my family moved out to Los Angeles and I have been here ever since. Growing up I was always fascinated by the field of psychology and when I was going for my Bachelors Degree I therefore choose to major in psychology. I attended Touro College Los Angeles for my Bachelors degree and then pursued my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy through Touro University Worldwide. When working with clients I take a warm and empathetic approach and really try to hear what the client is saying. Therapy can be very rewarding but it is often challenging to talk about the difficulties that we face. In session I strive to create a supportive and safe space where we can work together mindfully and without judgement to increase wellness. Thank you for taking the time to look over my profile. I look forward to working together!

Dr. Augustine Bessong
Hello! My name is Augustine and some people call me Dr. B. I am a family and marriage counselor licensed in New Jersey with over 25 years of experience, working in the mental service in different capacities. I had my Ph.D. since 2000 from an APA approved University at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including developmental disabilities, forensics, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, porn-related issues, parenting problems, career challenges, OCD and ADHD. I also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma and/or emotional trauma. And on several occasions, I have rendered services to members of the LGBTQ community. My counseling style is warm, interactive, empathic and I believe that a therapist should have effective listening skills and be able to join with the client during the counseling process. I believe in treating anyone with respect, total acceptance, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. I believe that clients have the capacity to grow in therapy and the therapist should be a catalyst in that process. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic and rational-emotive counseling. I can say I'm eclectic in my approach, as clients come in therapy with different problems and no one modality in counseling is the answer to their particular problems. I will tailor our conversation and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. I believe that the client must be the driver to this therapeutic journey with the therapist. Of course, it takes courage to seek for a more pleasing, satisfying and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. Change will always start from accepting that you have a problem. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you. I look forward to working with you! Warm greetings! I am licensed in New Jersey with many years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety and coping with life changes. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I will tailor our dialog and evidenced-based treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. We will meet using Betterhelp's virtual platform with audio and video, making our meetings more convenient for you. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process. Our first session will go over what to expect while working together, going over demographic information (like that at a doctors' office) and answering questions you may have. We will use evidenced based modalities to help identify goals while also taking into account the skills and barriers so we can utilize the best plan possible. That being said, it is important that we remain consistent with appointments. Since the more we put into the process the more we get out. Also, sometimes there are issues and needs you may have that are beyond my scope of expertise, you may need a higher level of care, or you may need paperwork, notes, assessments, or any type of documentation. In those cases, a referral to another provider may be necessary as we want to make sure you get the best care possible and for me to remain compliant and follow the rules of the platform, the state, and my licensing board. In the spirit of openness and transparency, I encourage questions about any policy or procedure so we can effectively achieve the goals you set in our sessions. Thank you again for taking the first step towards achieving your goals

I work with adolescents and adults who are feeling overwhelmed, emotionally stuck, or disconnected from themselves or others. Many people I work with are navigating anxiety, trauma, or long-standing relational patterns and are looking for a space where they can slow down, feel understood, and begin making sense of what they’re experiencing. My approach is trauma-informed and mindfulness-based, integrating insight-oriented and practical strategies to support emotional regulation, self-awareness, and meaningful change. Therapy with me is collaborative and paced intentionally, with a strong emphasis on safety, curiosity, and respect for your boundaries. I value creativity, learning, music, and time in nature, and I believe connection—to ourselves and to others—is central to healing. My hope is to support you in developing greater clarity, resilience, and a deeper sense of alignment in your life.
