Whether this is your first session or 100th, searching for a new therapist can feel overwhelming or daunting. Picking a person you trust to hear your struggles from a picture and a paragraph is no small thing! Here’s a little bit more about me to help guide your decision. PLEASE NOTE: currently all my evening slots are full. I do apologize, these times go fast! My current available hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 pm EST. My background: I am a licensed clinical psychologist with experience working with clients of diverse backgrounds. I earned my doctorate in 2013 from the University of Virginia and have worked in clinic, hospital, university, and military settings. Previously, I saw clients at and directed a clinic for families and children, and I also have more general experience across age groups and areas of concern. I feel comfortable helping you with stress and anxiety, depression and self-esteem, trauma, motivation, parenting issues, relationship concerns, LGBTQ+ issues, Veteran or military issues, and can provide support for medical difficulties of your own or in those you love. I’m excited to step into an online platform and continue to help clients see their strengths. My practice: I aim to create an environment where you feel understood and supported, but also leave with practical tools that you can use immediately. I strive for transparency and collaboration, and want us to work together to find pathways to your goals. My approach is anchored in sound science and best practices, with plenty of wiggle room to adjust to who you are as a person and what works best for you. No matter what, I believe that there is a better, happier version of your life and I’d be privileged to help you find it.

Hello- I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who has been working in this field for over 20 years in various behavioral healthcare positions. I enjoy my profession! There are not many professions that challenge you as a practitioner to grow and develop just as much as the clients . I like to think of counseling as the gift that keeps on giving! If you met me about 24 years ago, I would have introduce myself as a elementary school teacher who loves working with children. I enjoyed my profession but I was not fulfilled. Through a series of highs and lows in my life, educators, family, friends and sometimes strangers were strategically placed at various points of my life which tilted me like a pinball in an arcade game to what I feel I was truly meant to do with my life. I guess you can tell I was an english literature major! I truly believe that every life has value and purpose. Sometimes it takes some of us longer than others to figure out what that purpose is but although we are apart of the human race, life is not a race. I have experience working in hospital settings, non-profit agencies, as well as private practice. Everyone will not agree with the choices that we make in our lives but if we can look in the mirror and be happy with the person you see looking back at you, you've won! I try to provide my clients with a safe place to learn, grow and sometimes to simply breathe and put yourself first. There is not one definition of happiness. Every person's idea of happiness is different and unique. I would welcome the opportunity to hear your idea of happiness and if you do not know it right now, help you define happiness for you. I look forward to hearing from you soon! Your mind is one of the most potent and cooperative programs we have access to; whatever we feed it soaks up like a sponge. Defining your end goal is the most significant part of life's challenges. As a Licensed Clinical Therapist, I have been serving individuals as a life coach for over ten years. I will walk you through the limited beliefs embedded since a toddler. Life is a symphony of beautiful instruments, and only you can find the right instrument for you to have a harmonious future. As a result of my working with individuals to craft their lives, multimillion-dollar companies got started, and individuals have completed their educational endeavors. Finding the courage to become the best version of yourself can be daunting. I will assist you in becoming the next best version of yourself. I specialized in trauma-informed therapy, educational challenges, anxiety, depression, workplace burnout, and individual and spiritual counseling. My method allows you to craft the best way to get you to the end goal: finding peace and joy in your life. You can design the outcome of your lives if only you believe. I look forward to growing with you.
