I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor for the State of Kansas, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in Minnesota, and a Licensed Professional Counselor for the State of Arizona. I have been working with clients in outpatient settings since 2011. Typical concerns that I have experience with are anxiety and/or mild depression, relationship issues, supporting people through separation and divorce, grief and loss, parenting, stress management, PTSD, and support for faith/spiritual life. I find Cognitive Behavioral Therapy quite useful and effective, so I tend to use that whenever it seems fitting. I do my best to make sure that I ascertain what approach works best with each client. I want to be flexible and sensitive to your needs and personality. I believe that if you feel safe with me and that you can trust me, that's the most important aspect of working together. I look forward to working with you!

I received my Masters of Arts in Marriage, Couple and Family Counseling and my certification as a Play Therapist, and work extensively with adolescents, teens and young adults. My experience includes working with all ages and stages of divorce, co-parenting and step parenting relationships, grief and loss, anxiety, stress and depression, trauma, domestic violence and self harming behaviors. My work also includes assisting with behavioral, adjustment and attachment issues. With teens I have worked with self harm (non-suicidal), divorce of parents, adjustment disorder, depression, anxiety, handling expectations in a healthy way, understanding boundaries, among other things. I utilize therapy modalities and treatment approaches including client-focused, experiential, mindfulness and cognitive behavioral therapies. I am committed to my client and the therapeutic process of helping them achieve their goals and gain satisfaction and joy in all aspects of their lives.

My therapy career journey started in 1980 when I became a Case Manager working with individuals dealing with severe physical disabilities. At that time I was fresh out of undergraduate school and was seeking experience in the helping professions. My mother was a Social Worker and provided community services in the small town I grew up in and I was carrying the torch so to speak. I graduated with my MSW in 1991 and began working for a County mental health program in my state that provided services to people suffering from severe mental health issues and that had become homeless. This therapy experience provided me with first hand treatment support for a variety of issues. Including depression, PTSD, anxiety, thought disorders, etc. I became a generalist with a knowledge of treatment for numerous mental health problems. What I learned more than anything throughout it all though is that treating people with respect and dignity along with listening and hearing what they needed and trying to meet those needs was crucial to any type of therapy success. I continue to believe in this mindset and will do my upmost best to find solutions and provide the specific support and answers for each person I work with. In order to teach them how to better cope and reduce the impact of mental health issues they feel are impacting their lives in a negative way.

Shakea Roper
Confidential talk without judgement. Hi, I’m Shakea “Kea” Roper. I’m a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW). Do you need someone to talk to that will be understanding, compassionate, and encouraging? If so, you have reached the right therapist. I’m a single mother from the inner city. I’ve been through many struggles. From parenting, to family, to work, and just life. I’ve learned you can always work on yourself to help break cycles/patterns that once held you back. I value honesty and keeping it real. When there is free time, I like to sleep, spend time with family, board games, and of course diamond painting/other crafts. I often work with clients to address anxiety, depression, racing undesirable thoughts, and handling day to day life. My counseling style is active, honest, and straight-forward. Many of my clients have said "Kea is a great listener who isn't afraid to challenge my thoughts." I take the time to care. For me, it's an honor to work together to make progress! One of my favorite quotes is “everything seems impossible until it's done” by Nelson Mandela because I know everyone can push past the uncomfortableness of change to accomplish their goals. I have worked in various fields of social work such as: working with survivors of abuse, half-way houses, reunification of children with their families, youth homes, and psychiatric hospitals. Expect a sense of relief, release, and progress after each session. Each session is geared towards you and your needs. It’s based off what you feel you need to talk about, not a set curriculum. You bring the topic, and we will discuss, and problem solve as needed. If you just want a listener, you can have that also. Know that I will be honest and straight forward with you. Know that your thoughts may be challenged to help your personal growth. You may even have action or thinking tasks to complete. I have over 14 years of experience focusing on mood disorders and any symptoms that affect daily life. I can work with clients from the following states: Kansas, Missouri, Utah, North Dakota, and Pennsylvania. I spent my last college years at the University of Missouri – Columbia (MIZZOU) earning a master’s degree in social work (c/o/2009). In my sessions, I focus on using evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (thinking processes), Strengths Based, Brief Therapy, Problem Solving, DBT (mindfulness), Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT), and Solution Focused to help clients improve all areas of their life. I am a facilitator of Making Sense of Your Worth (MSoYW).

Jenny Infanger
I am a licensed clinical social worker in Utah, Kansas and Missouri. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns, including trauma, attachment, depression, anxiety, and relationship issues. I might be a good fit for clients looking for a therapist who is familiar with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, though you do not have to be a member of that faith to work with me. My therapy style is empathetic and collaborative. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, attachment, acceptance commitment and dialectical behavioral therapy. I am basic trained in EMDR and have additional training in maternal mental health. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you. I look forward to working with you!

Carlisle Bergquist
I am a Clinical Marriage & Family Therapist licensed in Kansas with 35 years of professional work experience. Before moving back to Kansas, I worked as a therapist in California at a school for troubled children and later in a maximum security jail. I have helped clients with many different disorders as well as relationship issues, family conflicts, intimacy related issues, motivation, self esteem, confidence, and issues arising during spiritual emergence. I studied Transpersonal psychology at John F. Kennedy University and Saybrook Institute in the San Francisco area. While I use several therapeutic modalities, I am primarily Rogarian in my session work. Treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion is of upmost importance. I believe the human spirit is remarkably resilient and able to heal from so much with a little encouragement. My task is to participate, encourage, and be a witness to your growth and healing. I will tailor our work together to meet your unique needs. The decision to start therapy takes courage and commitment to change. In my opinion, the most import aspect of your decision, is finding the right therapist, one you can trust and with whom you can share the details of your life. Forming a strong therapeutic relationship together makes all the difference. I have heard many life stories from all kinds of people in my years as a therapist. If I seem to be the right therapist for you, then I look forward to hearing your story. So, shall we get started?

I have been providing individual and family therapy to adults and adolescents since 2015, and I have been leading group sessions one day a week for an intensive outpatient program (IOP) since 2022. I desire to help people become who God has created them to be by meeting them where they are, understanding their values and strengths, and helping them reach their goals. I use cognitive-behavioral and solution-focused approaches in therapy, and I teach dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) skills. I also incorporate family systems, attachment, and Christian faith perspectives (when desired). I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, anger management, depression, & coping with life changes. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. Personally, I know what it's like to live with depression and anxiety, having addressed these issues in my own life. I believe taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage and I am here to support you in that process.
