Dr. Vanessa Bowen
*******I am currently NOT doing couples counseling******* I have been providing counseling in various settings for over 20 years, with 14 years as a licensed professional. I am a counselor who provides services in the state of GA and Utah. I hold a Doctorate of Theology in Christian Counseling and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I have worked closely with Veterans, people suffering from adjustment disorder, depression, anxiety, personality disorders, couples, empty nesters and other persons who are experiencing loss or grief or relationship problems. My style of counseling includes cognitive behavioral therapy; helping you to improve your mental clarity by thinking and developing coping mechanisms to overcome the issues that are concerning to you. My approach utilizes motivational interviewing. I want to point out the incongruence in what you say versus what you do; so we can begin to realign your thoughts with your actions and behaviors. Help in whatever area you are struggling with is just an email, click, text or phone call away. What are you waiting for; lets help you become your best self.
Lowell Wallace
Hello, my name is Lowell Wallace and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I earned my Master's degree in Social Work in 2013 and went on to earn my LCSW in 2017. I have expertise in working with individuals and families with co-occurring substance abuse and other counseling issues. I also have expertise in providing counseling to individuals with mood and anxiety disorders, relationship issues, family conflict, trauma, ADHD, and much more. I utilize a client-centered approach and realize clients are the experts on their own lives. I work collaboratively with my clients in setting and reaching their goals that will ultimately benefit their lives. Some of my most used clinical approaches are cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing. I enjoy these approaches because it allows me to help my clients gain insight into their core beliefs and how these translate into their thoughts and ultimately their behavior. I believe everyone has inherent strengths and abilities to face and overcome adversity and become more empowered and all they need is some assistance to realize their solution lies within themselves. I truly enjoy working with others and assisting them in becoming better version of themselves.
Kathi-Ann Busha
I am a Clinical Mental Health Counselor licensed in the state of Utah. I have experience working with children, teens, and families. Some of the concerns that I have worked with clients on in therapy include family conflict, transitioning to adulthood, long-term depression, persistent anxiety, stress, abuse, and trauma. I am an EMDR-trained therapist who has worked with clients who have experienced sexual abuse and sexual trauma. I have experience working with clients with ADHD, on the autism spectrum, and who would consider themselves "quirky". My counseling style is open and based around conversation. I help my clients to conceptualize their concerns and problems in a different light, changing the meaning of the stories they tell without changing the facts. I also help clients to develop different skills that can help to manage symptoms of distress in everyday life, such as mindfulness and meditation techniques and thought-changing skills. My counseling style combines EMDR and Narrative therapy techniques with DBT, CBT, and mindfulness skills for a whole-body wellness approach. I understand how difficult it can be to seek therapy and to find a therapist that whom you connect with. I applaud those who take the first step toward facing their issues and fears and hope that I am able to work with you to live your best life.

Homework assignments are implement and these assignments normally consist of the client implementing the techniques/ intervention. During the next session, the client will be encouraged to reflect on the effectiveness of this technique/ intervention. Hello, my name is Willie Johnson, MSW, LCSW- Thank You for considering my services... I am a licensed clinical social worker in Las Vegas, NV, with over 30 years of experience working with individuals, couples, families, groups who are dealing with anger, trauma, attachment issues, depression, anxiety, panic attacks and other mood disorders. It’s extremely important for patients to realize and distinguish the difference between their original true personality and their bodies, feelings, thoughts, and emotions. In other words, YOU ARE NOT YOUR BODY, YOU ARE NOT YOUR FEELINGS, YOU ARE NOT YOUR EMOTIONS! You are not what you feel nor think. True, you do have feelings, thoughts and emotions, but you are not them. Within this therapeutic relationship, you will learn, recognize, and identify the secondary emotions and personalities that’s trying to manipulate, control and change your character and personality. You will also learn how to release yourself from the pain and guilt of harm done to you or the harm you have done to others or even to yourself. Our goals in therapy is not just to cope or manage these emotional concerns, but to completely get rid of and totally destroy them out of your life. Through self-reflection, therapy will help develop your capacity to be more self-aware, recognize and challenge negative thoughts and build towards a more safe and healthy life functioning. I believe that prioritizing your mental health is an investment in self; it is an active step towards your healing journey. "Four Stages To Your Emotional Health & Healing" 1. Love Everybody, 2. Carolshene Powell
For over two decades, I have dedicated my life to the art and science of therapy, committed to helping individuals navigate their personal challenges and achieve meaningful change. My journey began with a deep passion for understanding the human experience, which has since evolved into a multifaceted practice grounded in evidence-based modalities. Throughout my career, I have honed my skills in a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), ART, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Each of these modalities has equipped me to address complex trauma and equip my clients with the tools they need to heal and grow. My extensive experience in trauma-focused therapies has allowed me to create safe spaces where individuals can confront their pasts and build resilience for the future. A significant portion of my work has centered around substance abuse counseling, where I have spent 20 years developing my expertise in both group and individual settings. This work has not only deepened my understanding of addiction but has also reinforced the importance of community and connection in the recovery process. For the past 15 years, I have been on the front lines of crisis intervention, assisting individuals facing some of the most challenging moments of their lives. Together, we create tailored action plans that empower them to forge a path toward healing and stability. My practice is inclusive and diverse, having had the privilege of working with clients ranging from as young as five to adults in their sixties. I find particular joy in working with teenagers, helping them navigate the tumultuous landscape of adolescence, and providing support to women grappling with issues related to body image and weight management. My understanding of eating disorders and compulsive behaviors, including addictions to pornography, allows me to approach these sensitive topics with empathy and expertise. In my work, I strive to foster an environment where clients feel seen, heard, and validated. I believe that every individual’s story is unique, and I am here to walk alongside them as they uncover their strengths and develop strategies for overcoming obstacles. My commitment to ongoing professional development and self-reflection ensures that I remain at the forefront of therapeutic practices, continually enhancing my ability to support those I serve. As I reflect on my journey, I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the healing of others. My work as a therapist is not just a profession; it is a calling that brings me immense fulfillment and purpose. Together, we can embark on a transformative journey toward healing and self-discovery, empowering individuals to reclaim their lives and thrive.
