Welcome! Thank you for taking a minute to explore a bit about who I am. My name is Paul Deutsch and I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor for the past 15 years. I recently received my Doctorate of Education in Counselor Education and Supervision from Viterbo University. I have been working in a community based rural setting for my career. I have been a member of clinical teams and have been working in a solo practice for the past 4 years. I have a broad base of clinical skills with an emphasis on complex challenges like personality disorders (and related concerns like self-harm), depression, anxiety and panic, LGBTQ stressors, family dynamics and the various forms of marital conflict. My theory of practice is based in a Humanistic approach. I could be seen as a Post-modern (Solution-Focused, Narrative) but also have strong ties to interventions related to Cognitive Behavioral Theory and Radical Acceptance. I am deeply connected to the metaphysical qualities and energy work associated with our mental process, both as it relates to our relationship with our intuition and our interactions with our external worlds. These skills connected with my understanding of neuroscience and brain functionality have supported my effective use of language to develop deep and supportive rapports with my clients. I spend my time off from counseling as a Personal Trainer and Strength and Conditioning coach and have extensive training in nutrition and physical wellbeing. I also love to ski and ride fat tire bike. An additional skill set is within Business Coaching and have helped many clients improve their work lives, keep jobs or change to better ones while supporting an improved sense of self. I look forward to having the opportunity to find ways that I can support your journey. The road is hard and living a life brings suffering but these days we don't have to do that alone. Be well, Paul

Welcome! My name is Emily and I am a licensed professional counselor in the states of Maine, New Hampshire and Wisconsin. I have over 18 years of experience working in the mental health field. I have worked in a variety of settings including schools, residential, outpatient, in-home, and private practice. I feel so committed to this kind of work; the ability to partner with others and help them see their strengths and abilities to empower them. I work to create a healing space where growth, understanding and change can occur. I love the quote by Carl Jung, "We are not what happened to us, we are who we choose to become." This is what I think therapy is all about; helping people understand this and see their future, one that is full of hope and the ability to overcome the challenges and struggles that life can bring. This is not just a philosophy or modality of a treatment. It is a way of being and seeing in the world, a way of seeing the potential and nobility in anything or anyone. Hello and welcome to my page. My name is Alecia Beaudry and I want to thank you for taking the time to read my profile to see if I might be a good fit to support you in managing your mental health. I invite you to message me with any additional questions you might have about my skills, treatment methods and experience. I am a Wisconsin based Licensed Clinical Social Worker, who currently is in private practice in Elm Grove Wisconsin. I earned my Master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1999. At that time, I also completed an additional concentration in marriage and family therapy. During my 20+ years in the field, I have worked in a variety of settings that have allowed me to develop a strong knowledge base of acute psychiatric disorders as well as supporting people who are in life’s transitions. I am passionate about working with clients to support overall health and wellbeing. I believe it is possible for everyone to live a satisfying life. I use creativity in my practice to approach problems that people have worked years to resolve with no success. I use a combination of therapeutic techniques to support my clients in meeting their goals. Complex problems require creative solutions and I feel it is my responsibility to inspire my clients to move in the direction of health. One of my main personal and professional goals over the years has been to create a positive connection with anyone who comes in contact with me. As a result, I have developed an easy manner and it allows me to connect with clients and make them comfortable. The therapeutic relationship is the single most important part of the process. I never forget the courage it takes to work on oneself and feel honored to support people on their journey to create a satisfying life.

My therapeutic philosophy is that it's not what is wrong with you but what happened to you. I believe that symptoms like anxiety and depression are not signs of weakness but messages to our mind and body telling us that something is not right and needs to be addressed. Maladaptive ways of coping may have once served us by dulling stress or pain but are not working any more, and so we have to learn new, healthier, more adaptive coping skills. I believe both the body and mind work together and are ultimately designed to survive, heal and thrive. Sometimes we just need understanding, validation and support to navigate the process. I love to help clients and empower them to help themselves. I understand how important it is to find a counselor you can connect with; one that is caring, respectful and skillful. I have had my own therapy during my life and approach clients the way I wanted to be treated.I can relate to clients that have attempted therapy more than once and are frustrated and tired. I understand what that is like and commend you for trying again. Change can be scary but often less scary than staying stuck. Seeking out counseling takes a lot of courage and strength. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over five years of experience working with clients with various concerns including Depression, Anxiety, Trauma, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Assertiveness/Boundaries, Attachment Issues and Emotional,Sexual and Physical Abuse. Being a more mature counselor brings with it life experience, insight and knowledge; at the same time I am flexible, open and always seeking emerging therapeutic approaches. I believe in treating clients as individuals that have unique strengths and resiliencies and do not fit neatly into diagnostic categories. My counseling style is warm, approachable and authentic. I relate to clients with compassion, non-judgment and empathy. My approach is eclectic and tailored to meet clients where they are at. I practice through a trauma-informed lens and use modalities such as Solution-Focused, Cognitive-Behavioral, Brainspotting, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness, Internal Family Systems, Existential, Spiritual, Humanistic, Psychodynamic and Somatic therapy. I will work with you to find the best treatment approach that meets your specific needs and goals. I consider it an honor to collaborate with clients in pursuit of their well-being. If you are ready to take a step I am here to support you.
