Hello and welcome! Something in your life brought you here in your search for help. I want you to know that you’ve come to a good place. I know how it takes wisdom and courage to seek out counseling support. I want to help you explore what is possible for you. Each of us can tap into our resilience and creativity even during the most stressful of times. I know too that sometimes we just need someone to talk to, who can listen without judgement. I am here for that. Update on 9/1/2021. Hello. I am updating my profile and mentions of what I consider my skill set. A growing opinion in clinical psychology is that no particular intervention is better than any other, and that the most important predictor of therapeutic success is the quality of the therapeutic relationship. I agree with that predictor. I have found that the best combo within therapy is relational, narrative and somatic. Relational in that the basis of a successful therapeutic experience is dependent on a healthy, skillful and genuine relationship between the client and the therapist. A good match results in good therapy. The therapist must be rooted in principles, boundaries and have a relatable skill set. Compassion and a genuine interest in the client must be the primary motive for the therapist. And the client must feel a genuine connection with the therapist. Narrative in that through the client sharing of their story and experiences and practicing inquiry and attention they can heal and transform painful circumstances and negative habitual patterns. Narrative includes the stories and assumptions we tell ourselves, so those are also part of the inquiry. Somatic means the conversation and work is embodied. That the context always returns to and is understood through one’s physical-emotional experiences. CBT can be a branch of all these, especially when it comes to inquiry practices. Again, all this relies on a genuine and authentic relationship between the client and therapist. A necessary vulnerability and receptivity to oneself and the other. I have been engaging with people as a therapist for 40 years. And I am still as enthused and dedicated to this relationship. I continue to learn through my clients, as well as through attending various trainings and teachings. I am deeply grateful to work with you and believe that the therapeutic relationship can be a life-long benefit. (I always claim that my therapist saved my life. In truth, our relationship gave me the means to save myself). I have recently taken more training in somatic experiencing, awareness and breath practices that help with personal insight and well-being. I look forward to exploring these with you. However, you lead the sessions not me; our conversation and explorations are determined by you and what you are wanting to experience. Here is a little about me and how I would assist you: I have a Masters in Social Work and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, with over 3 decades of working as a therapist both face-to-face and online. My therapeutic style involves helping you to gain personal insight, simple strategies, and tools that you can use immediately to make positive choices and movement in your life. I consider you the captain of the ship, where I am the navigator, so, – you tell me where you want to go and I come up with several ways for you to consider, to get where there. You will always direct the session; I am here to help you discover the best internal and outward route to take to get to where you want. I have also authored several books on living a healthy and fulfilling life, healing from trauma, and cognitive-behavioral approaches to well-being, where I introduce simple tools to living a fulfilling life. Much of my work is about living life from the inside out – and how our emotions, beliefs, past traumas and attitude influence our outward and present day experience. I also use an educational approach with references to other resources that may help you, such as books, movies, on-line resources. We don’t just sit and talk. I love to provide you with simple, usable tools wherever possible that help you between sessions. We can practice these together and then you can see how they may benefit you in your daily life. I rely on these same practices to help me live a fulfilling and healthy life too. I too have relied on therapy, books and mentors to get me through challenging times. Most importantly, we are going to make sure we are making progress on your therapeutic intentions that you have for yourself. In that way, we are in this together. You will experience a true connection to me as your therapist. I am here to guide you, encourage you, possibly even challenge you if I feel you are unknowingly allowing obstacles to stand in your way. Hello, my name is Ashley Lynch and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Wisconsin. I have been working in the field of mental health since 2012 in various settings and roles. I received my Master's degree in Social Work from George Williams College in 2016. My first exposure to assisting people with mental health was during my undergraduate program where I worked with individuals in group homes. I found conversing with the clients and talking through their struggles, passions, and goals so rewarding that it led me to pursue my masters degree specifically with the goal of clinical counseling. During my post-graduate work I interned at the Alzheimer's Association where I would do short term therapy and crisis intervention with caregivers. From there I graduated and worked as the facility director for a senior care facility. I had the opportunity to move on from there and discovered a new passion in providing clinical care to college aged students. I approach clinical sessions with an empathetic disposition and make it my goal to meet my clients where they are at. In session, I work with my clients to set up a treatment plan that they feel comfortable with and establish goals that are attainable. My main areas of focus have been anxiety/panic attacks, depression, end of life/hospice/caregiving, self-esteem, motivation, and grief.

Hi. My name is Cindy and I am a national certified counselor(NCC) and licensed counselor in Iowa (LMHC0 and Michigan (LPC). I have had a private practice for 12+ years where I provide individual, couple and group counseling. I am a former president of the Iowa Mental Health Counselors Association and am active with a number of other professional counseling organizations. I began my counseling work in addictions treatment, with a particular emphasis on treating the family system. I also have specialized in working with children and adults on the autism spectrum. My training as a mental health counselor helps me assist them with the wide array of co-existing conditions they often deal with, such as: ADHD, anxiety, depression, OCD, etc...while my personal experience as a mother and aunt to children on the spectrum gives me a deeper understanding of the challenges parents face. While I believe a client centered approach (having empathy, unconditional positive regard, and always being authentic) is fundamental to building the counseling relationship I do not adhere to any one treatment theory or modality. Just as every client is unique, I consider it my job to partner with my client to find their learning style and preferences and then tailor a treatment approach that best suits them. I regularly utilize aspects of CBT, DBT, mindfulness and motivational interviewing. For partnership/couple counseling I often utilize research and techniques from the Gottman approach, EFT, and ACT. I have research interests in counseling ethics, personality disorders, autistic spectrum disorders and animal assisted therapy and have given professional workshops on these topics at the local, regional, and national levels. I hope this gives you an idea of who I am. At heart I am a helper, and my training and credentialing are avenues to assist me in trying to be the best helper I can. I also want you to know I really appreciate the courage it takes for someone to open up to counseling and to be a part of that process is a privilege I do not take lightly. Just a note, in order to be compliant with the variety of licensing regulations in different states, I only utilize A/V telehealth for appointments.

How does the cost of in-person counseling with a therapist compare to the cost of BetterHelp with a licensed Pardeeville therapist?

The average price of an in-person therapy session in the US with most therapists is $100 to $200 per hour. These prices may be higher in Pardeeville due to a higher cost of living, and a limited number of therapists taking new clients. The price also depends on the type of provider you are looking for. • Counseling with a psychiatrist: $150-$500
  • Counseling with therapists: $100-300

How do I know if online counseling is right for my family in Pardeeville?

One of the potentially rewarding aspects of working with a therapist is the validation and active listening they can provide. Your friends and loved ones may also be available to listen, but you may feel that they may lack the skills to provide objective guidance. Counselors are trained to respond to various concerns, symptoms, and mental health conditions.

Therapists in your city can support you toward a healthier emotional state, regardless of your mental health, life concerns, or healing needs. While supporting individuals in developing healthier habits, another good benefit of Pardeeville therapy is having an understanding, safe space with a non-judgmental party who can support you through challenging experiences.

Many people have sensitive topics that they may feel ashamed to discuss with their friends or partner. A therapist can help you confront these concerns and open up through unique methods of support. There are also many types of therapy, such as art therapy, where you may find you can express yourself through creativity instead of words with a psychotherapist.

With a lot of people in WI, therapists may be booked out with clients. Through the list of profiles above and others within BetterHelp's team, you may be able to find a psychologist within 24 to 48 hours. If you're searching to find a a nearby psychotherapist close to 53954 or the surrounding zip codes, consider others available through the BetterHelp site where you can schedule a session based on your and the therapist's schedule. Before seeing your therapist near you, prep for your session by reading to understand the process. When you attend your session, you can let our therapists know if you have any concerns or feel unsure about what to talk about. Pardeeville therapists near you may help guide you with open-ended therapeutic questions while offering mental health services. Should I find a therapist or psychologist for therapy if I feel fine?

Some simply don't feel the need to see a psychologist. However, some people may avoid attending therapy due to stigma or preconceived notions of what it might entail. Although psychologists often support people with mental health conditions, you do not need a diagnosis or specific condition. You can discuss grief, relationship concerns, stress, or life changes and ask for general feedback. A Pardeeville licensed clinical social worker may help you gain power over your life and emotions while you navigate day-to-day experiences.

Gaining a new perspective on yourself through various therapies might allow you to improve your self-esteem, work through relationships, and gain a better sense of your mental health goals. The success you may find with a Pardeeville counselor can be dependent on your process.

People may also attend therapy for specific motives, such as bullying, an autism diagnosis, a desire to learn mindfulness meditation, personality concerns, trouble with office workers, specific phobias, and many other principles that a counselor can help with.

Is mental health care and therapy with a therapist worth it?

Therapy with a licensed counselor is effective and has the power to change individuals' lives. Each client is at a different stage of their emotional healing journey in life, as each human can be unique in their personality, expression, skills, and goals. An experienced clinician can target various symptoms, experiences, and personalities to help you feel your best and put you on the path to healing. Unlike advice from a friend, family, or non-professional, a mental health therapist has an understanding of various disorders like ADHD and depression with many hours of experience in treating adults in their practice. For this reason, seeing an evidence based licensed clinician in Pardeeville, Wisconsin can be worth it. Over 41 million adults in the US attend therapy services each year, showing it's a popular option and is proven to be effective.

Pardeeville has many clinicians who practice person or client-centered individual therapy in-person and through online sessions to assist clients in their healing journey. If you opt into online therapy, you might also be able to meet with providers all over the United States and change easily at any time. Many people struggling with anxiety and depression, substance abuse, body image issues, and more find therapists that are a good fit for them, feel supported, and gain further insight into their lives through internet-based therapy.

Do therapists judge you in therapy sessions during telehealth appointments?

The boundaries between you and a therapist are in place to help you and them regarding ethical concerns. Mental health professionals are held by ethical standards through the American Psychological Association (APA) and are not allowed to judge or harm their clients. If you are concerned about sharing details about yourself, feel free to withhold personal information. Their job in the therapeutic relationship is to create a safe place, help you gain a deeper understanding of your mental health, and support you. You might consider changing counselors if you don't feel safe or respected.
