Jennifer Fishman
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LCPC) in Idaho, as well as Nationally Certified Counselor, and I also hold the Graduate Certificate in Addiction Studies. I have been a counselor for 12 years in different settings, such as community agencies of different kind, as well as my own practice. Prior to becoming a counselor, I was an adult educator and worked for colleges and business schools. As an educator, I was passionate about motivating each student to find an individual “life’s path” and to use education as a tool. As a counselor, I am passionate about my clients learning about themselves through the discovery of individual strengths and unique abilities to take on the life’s journey. In each session, I strive to encourage my clients to find something about themselves they haven’t noticed before. Depending on my clients’ needs, I use many techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused and many others, but educate on these techniques in the process to help my clients “become their own counselors” and build their own “arsenal” of tools. My counseling style is fluid – I meet my clients “where they are”; at the same time, I have been told by my clients that each session with me gave them different perspective and empowered them to approach life’s problems with unexpected solutions! I am looking forward to meeting and getting to know you!

Lowell Wallace
Hello, my name is Lowell Wallace and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I earned my Master's degree in Social Work in 2013 and went on to earn my LCSW in 2017. I have expertise in working with individuals and families with co-occurring substance abuse and other counseling issues. I also have expertise in providing counseling to individuals with mood and anxiety disorders, relationship issues, family conflict, trauma, ADHD, and much more. I utilize a client-centered approach and realize clients are the experts on their own lives. I work collaboratively with my clients in setting and reaching their goals that will ultimately benefit their lives. Some of my most used clinical approaches are cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing. I enjoy these approaches because it allows me to help my clients gain insight into their core beliefs and how these translate into their thoughts and ultimately their behavior. I believe everyone has inherent strengths and abilities to face and overcome adversity and become more empowered and all they need is some assistance to realize their solution lies within themselves. I truly enjoy working with others and assisting them in becoming better version of themselves.
Charles McBride (he/him)
I am a professional counselor, licensed in Oregon, with over 15 years of experience. I have worked as both a residential substance abuse treatment counselor and as a outpatient mental health counselor with an employee and family assistance program. I have worked with clients with a broad range of issues including substance abuse, depression, anxiety, relationship concerns and sexuality. I have also worked with first responders who have experienced trauma. My counseling style is warm and supportive, with a little bit of humor thrown into the mix. All clients will be treated with respect and compassion, regardless of where they are on their life's journey. I strongly believe that the client is the only expert of his/her/their life and it is my job to help each one reach their full potential. We enter counseling to change something in our lives; whatever we are currently doing isn't working. But we must change how we think in order for our new behaviors to have lasting change. To this end, my approach combines cognitive-behavioral, rational-emotive, and client-centered counseling. Just as each client is unique, each treatment plan must be as well. We will work together to create a plan that meets your specific needs. I look forward to our first session!
Wendi Makus
Hello! I'm so glad you are here! If you are ready to make some changes in life that are likely to result in improved mental health, improved quality of life, and general well being; you came to the right place! My approach in counseling is in general to look at the person as a whole; not as their symptoms of problems. I use holistic, solution focused, and trauma informed models to engage client's in the counseling process and achieve their goals. I have been trained in trauma informed approaches such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR); which uses several tools to help client's negative past events have less emotional impact on their lives. I am also certified in a counseling approach called seed digging therapy (SD), which is developed off the therapy developed in the 90's called theophostic therapy. The premise of seed digging therapy (SD) is that each individual is generally mostly good, has a desire to be good to others, and wants to have a happy and productive life. The model states that a person's heart is a "garden" which in analogy has "weeds" and "flowers". Traumatic/Sad events tend to produce weeds and Happy events tend to produce flowers. Weeds in a persons heart can cause many negative reactions in life ranging from interpersonal relationships, self esteem, negative view of the world. Weeds occur when a lie is believed about that sad/bad event. Examples of weeds: not feeling adequate, feeling unloved, feeling a lack of importance. Flowers are developed when something happens that is positive/ good, and the individual believes something good about themselves. Examples of flowers: I do matter, I am important, I am loved, I belong in this group, family, friendship etc. The process of seed digging therapy is to find where the root of the negative thoughts started, and create an alternate belief opposite of the negative. Using narrative techniques, the person has the opportunity to recreate meaning if they want to. I am very excited to meet you, get to know you and help see you to the other side of where you want to be. If you would like to work more with me, we can talk more about your goals and what steps to take to get there.

I am Leeann Mickel, I have a masters degree in educational psychology with an emphasis on community counseling. I have my LPC, licensed professional counselor Masters level. I also have an LC DC licensed chemical dependency counselor. I have worked 20 + years in the field of service. I have had great success with clients who have experienced significant trauma. I have been Clinical Supervisor for a substance abuse residential setting. I am currently Clinical Director for the agency with whom I am employed at this time. I believe it to be my mission helping and serving. My approach is client centered we start where you are. I am very laid-back and personable, I have forever been told how easy it is to talk to me, even prior to my chosen career! That’s a plus when you’re a therapist! I have some clients who simply need an ear and guidance. Others are eager to get to the cause of what prompted them to reach out. Either is great. I understand that some people need to vent and receive professional advice. I tell all of my clients you have inside you now everything you need to heal and progress. My job is to guide you on the journey in this process of self discovery and healing. I also tell my clients that I will work just as hard as you in doing this, but I will never work harder. This would cause more harm by handicapping them if others around never allow my clients to learn through experience, and rob my client of demonstrating to themselves the opportunity to see how capable they actually are. I have worked with many populations: adolescents, adults with variety of disorders/conditions. Such as mental health diagnosis like depression, bi polar, anxiety, and PTSD. For the last six years I have led our adolescent program. I'm very familiar with self harming behaviors, and have a knack of being able to reach them and slowly process into self love. I also have extensive experience with grief which may look different and feel different among different clients. Even those who believe that have mourned and grieved, but truly have not. I look forward to working with you and helping you along your specific path. My schedule is very flexible, as a I only work from home, virtually/remote. During therapy it will be common to give 'experiments' following a session. The purpose for this is taking from our sessions and applying what you learn to your 'real life' outside of one session weekly for an hour.

I obtained my Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences from Hawaii Pacific College (now a University) in Honolulu. I graduated with my Master of Social Work degree from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 1989. After spending 22 year living and working in Hawaii, and having attended the School of Social Work where all of our classes had an emphasis on cultural awareness, I grew my appreciation for cultural differences. My goal through the years in the field of mental health has been to become versatile in working with all genders of all ages, cultures and religious beliefs. My general approach is psychoeducational. I do CBT. I am Adlerian in premise. Most previous to working for BetterHelp and Regain, I did seven years in crisis intervention covering the whole county by myself at night which involved an array of clinical presentations such as suicidality, homicidality, psychosis, chronic mental illness, intoxication, and emotion dysregulation, in an array of locations such as emergency rooms, intensive care units, the county jail, police stations, offices, schools, respite facilities, residential facilities, homes, truck stops, businesses, fields, roads, and other public places. Prior to crisis work, I worked as an outpatient therapist in a community mental health agency and prior to that I worked as a dual-diagnosis therapist in a methadone clinic where I did trauma treatment and addictions counseling. I am fully trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), a brain stimulation technique for trauma treatment and anxiety. During the first 13 years of my career, I did contract work as a child and family therapist, adoption social work, and I also had a private practice wherein I did individual therapy for military dependents and couples' counseling. Ivy Medow
I am a strengths based counselor with a variety of experiences working in human services over the course of thirty+ years. I have been a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor, Occupational Therapy Assistant, an Activity Therapist, a Disability Program Navigator, a benefits planning specialist...and more. I am a bit of an existentialist, believing that we have a chance now to improve our futures, regardless of what our pasts have been. I am interested in compassion fatigue, and believe strongly in self-care as a strategy for successful living. I have an inclusive approach. I treat people with respect and compassion. I value diversity. More about my approach: I encourage everyone to develop a set of self care skills. In general, I believe people do better in life if they get adequate rest, avoid alcohol and drugs, get exercise and fresh air, eat properly, learn and practice mindfulness activities, kick back with activities they enjoy, and limit exposure to trauma in their everyday lives. I encourage creative expression of emotions, such as painting, drawing, journaling, singing, dancing...and more. I encourage people to turn their attention toward that which they can do something about, which is pretty much themselves and their own reactions to things and their own behavior. I acknowledge the role trauma plays in our lives. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage. I am glad you are starting the process!

I help adults and teens improve focus, calm, and emotional balance—especially for ADHD, anxiety, depression, sleep issues, trauma, autism, chronic stress, and pain-related self-regulation. My approach combines personalized counseling with mindfulness and optional brain-based tools (biofeedback) that help you train attention and calm in real time—during and between sessions. We can work on immediate concerns, long-term goals, or deeper patterns. Many clients notice changes in the first week for sleep, stress, and attention, and the skills build over time. It’s similar to learning a skill like riding a bike—the changes become more natural and lasting. The tools we use support improvement not just in sessions, but while working, studying, or relaxing in daily life. You also keep these tools long-term so you can continue building focus and balance independently. I often work with people who want to become more self-directed and consistent—including professionals, entrepreneurs, and creative individuals who feel stuck between high ability and inconsistent focus or anxiety. We can: talk through your situation in a collaborative way, or use structured tools and a brain-based assessment to understand how your attention, stress, and energy patterns work—and improve them Background and experience: I have over 16 years of experience and have taught attention and regulation tools at: University of Minnesota Medical Center Minnesota Council for the Gifted and Talented Learning Disabilities Association of Minnesota I also developed a biofeedback training program used within a large Minnesota health system. I have worked extensively with: ADHD and attention challenges anxiety and panic trauma autism spectrum conditions chronic health and pain conditions veterans and high-stress professions Approach My style is practical, structured, and supportive. I draw from evidence-based approaches including CBT, ACT, mindfulness, and somatic strategies, while helping you build: better focus and mental clarity emotional regulation improved sleep more consistent performance at work or school stronger self-direction and follow-through The goal is not just insight—but real-world change you can feel during your day What to expect: Clients often choose this approach if they want: tools they can use between sessions a clearer understanding of how their brain responds to stress and focus a balance of conversation and structured strategies
