Hello, and thank you for taking the time to read my profile! Since early age, helping people have always been my passion. I completed all PsyD courses, and licensed as a LMHC in the State of Florida. In addition, I am a Registered Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor, and completed a Neuropsychology course. Through the years, I provided mental health services to people of all ages, and administered intellectual, developmental, neurological, learning disabilities, personality and vocational tests. At this time, I provide counseling to adults who are struggling with depression, anxiety, career choices, aging, and cognitive difficulties. My style is to develop a non-threatening, person-centered, non-judgmental and relaxed relationship with my clients. I enjoy developing a successful outcome by creating individualized treatment. I studied Social Work at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and completed all the PsyD courses at Carlos Albizu University, located in Miami, Florida. I've been helping since the age of sixteen, first as a volunteer in different hospitals in my natal Argentina, and in Israel for AKIM, the largest organization for individuals with intellectual disabilities. In the United States I've been helping individuals and families, providing counseling, and performing psychological evaluations at the Institute for Children and Family Health, neurological evaluations at Palmwood Psychological Services and for Social Security Disability claimants. Working with Holocaust survivors at Goodman Jewish Family Services introduced me to geriatric care as well as aging issues. I believe that each person is a distinct world, with own feelings, fears, accomplishments and goals. That is why I provide tailored therapies with compassion and understanding. Congratulations for taking the first step to a better you. If you are experiencing emotional, educational or family relationship difficulties, I will be very happy to help you.

Welcome! I am a mental health counselor, licensed in Florida and have been providing psychotherapy services for 10 + years. I have worked with people who are experiencing many different issues, which have all led them to seek assistance with changing their mindset, their responses, and their overall mental health. This includes issues such as depression, anxiety, anger, low self esteem, and impulsivity. Additional issues in which I have specific training and certification are unresolved grief and loss, substance abuse and addiction, and trauma. My therapy approach is based on getting to know each client as an individual; I don't believe in "cookie cutter" approaches to therapy and as we work together, I will build a treatment plan suited to your individual needs. I use a combination of therapy styles including narrative, cognitive-behavioral (CBT), psycho-dynamic, and dialectical-behavioral ( DBT). My therapy style is compassionate and empathetic, and I believe in treating others with respect and understanding. When life gets out of balance, we all respond differently, and often need help. It takes courage to reach out and take the first step to change. That is where the therapeutic relationship starts and I am ready to listen and support you. I look forward to working with you!

Reaching out for support can feel like a big step, and you don’t have to do it alone. I strive to create a warm, supportive space where children, teens, adults, and families can feel safe exploring challenges, gaining insight, and moving toward meaningful change. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida who works with individuals and families navigating concerns such as anxiety, trauma, parenting challenges, behavioral difficulties, emotional overwhelm, and life transitions. My approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), attachment-based therapy, and solution-focused strategies while also honoring the powerful connection between the mind and body. I believe healing happens when we consider the whole person- thoughts, emotions, relationships, and physical well-being. My style is warm, nurturing, and collaborative. I aim to meet each client where they are and tailor therapy to their unique needs and goals. Whether helping a child build emotional regulation skills, supporting teens through life’s pressures, or helping adults better understand patterns in their relationships and emotional responses, our work together focuses on developing insight, resilience, and practical tools for lasting change. I also bring extensive experience working with foster and adoptive families. This background has given me a deep appreciation for how our earliest relationships and childhood experiences shape our sense of safety, connection, and well-being throughout life. In therapy, we often explore how these early foundations influence present challenges while building healthier patterns moving forward. Therapy isn’t about “fixing” you, it's about helping you better understand yourself, strengthen your inner resources, and move toward the life you want. If you’re ready to take that step, I would be honored to walk alongside you.
Michelle Cohen Negri
As a former professional athlete and licensed clinical social worker, I bring a unique and empowering perspective to therapy. My background in competitive sports shaped my belief in the power of discipline, inner strength, and resilience, values I now integrate into my clinical work with clients facing life’s most difficult challenges. I specialize in supporting individuals navigating grief and bereavement, trauma, and chronic or terminal illness. I understand how overwhelming it can feel to carry emotional pain, loss, or fear of the unknown, and I’m here to provide a compassionate and grounded space for healing and self-discovery. My therapeutic approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and practical. I incorporate a combination of Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness practices to help clients better manage distress, build emotional regulation skills, and move toward meaningful change. Together, we’ll identify what’s working, what’s getting in the way, and how to create realistic, values-driven steps forward. I believe deeply in every person’s capacity for resilience and growth—even in the face of adversity. If you’re ready to begin (or continue) your journey toward healing and personal clarity, I’d be honored to support you. My approach is warm, compassionate, and collaborative. I strive to create a safe space where we can explore your story together and develop meaningful, sustainable strategies for healing and growth.
