Finding "the right" therapist, involves searching for the one you feel comfortable with. Communication should flow very easily between you two. Trauma, loss and/ or self dissatisfaction are a constant concern for many. Those pitfalls and disappointments affect everyone just in different ways. Therefore, you should NEVER feel like your therapist doesn't "get it". I'm trained in helping a wide range of individuals to realize their fullest potential, find happiness in life through the development of healthy relationships and to empower them to reach for goals that currently seem impossible. My aim is to help you define your problems. I use my years of training in sexuality, trauma, marriage and family, anger management, addictive behavior, motivational interviewing, and cognitive processes combined with my own life experiences to lead you to discover and embrace your authentic self.

Karen Bryans
Hello, and thank you for taking a few minutes to learn more about me and my therapeutic approach to counseling. My name is Karen and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor practicing in the state of Georgia. I have worked in the mental health field for over 10 years and as a therapist for the past five. During this time I treated adults, adolescents, and children both in individual and small group settings on a variety of issues such anxiety, depression, stress management, anger management, grief and loss, and coping with life changes. I understand how challenging life can be and that sometimes it feels as though you are alone with no one to talk to or share your problems with. Talking about those problems is very cathartic and often times people find that just opening-up and talking about it makes them feel so much better! As a therapist, I put a lot of emphasis on establishing a trusting and comfortable connection with my clients. I understand that it can be difficult for some people to open-up and share their personal thoughts and struggles with other people. That is why my therapeutic approach is warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental as we begin processing your thoughts and feelings and identifying root causes of your problems. We will work together to establish therapeutic goals that you would like to accomplish during the counseling process. If you are tired of living your life feeling anxious, unhappy, and unfulfilled, let’s talk. Even if your friends and family are tired of listening to you and you just need someone to vent to about an issue, that is okay too. I will meet me you wherever you are emotionally and we will start from there! Don’t let fear or uncertainty stop you from living the happy and fulfilled life that you deserve!

I also have worked with those who have histories with the criminal justice system and understand the issues behind reentry and starting life again after release from prison. My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. I also believe that it is important to be honest and help my clients work through their issues; I cannot solve it for you but I will help you gain the tools and the mindset to do so. With this, I am not afraid to be to the point when it is needed. As a counselor, I understand that all have their own paths of faith, spirituality and beliefs. Know I embrace this in both my personal and professional life and am comfortable working with people exploring and practicing their own path of spirituality It takes courage to get help, to ask for change and I applaud you for doing so. I look forward to working with you!
Christian Waller
Hello everyone, my name is Christian Waller. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I received my Master's degree from Augusta University in 2017. Since my graduation, I have provided both individual and group therapeutic services to children, teens, and adults. Although my primary focus is working with processing trauma and reducing the effects of traumatic stress, I have gained experience working with anxiety, depression, OCD, anxieties/concerns with discovering/exploring sexuality and/or gender expression, and other areas that individuals would like to process in session. I have been trained in providing several evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and I tend to use techniques from each in my therapeutic approach. In TF-CBT, I learned about the ABCs and I thoroughly believe that affect (emotions), behaviors, and cognitions are all related in how we experience our own realities. I believe that goals are substantial in the therapeutic process, and although they might be hard to discover, they give us a guideline and somewhat of an endpoint. Not everything can be accomplished in a session, but short-term goals and long-term goals can help us maintain our focus. No goal is set in stone; sometimes when we start off, we realize we want a redirection or to tweak it, and that is totally okay as well. Having options and different routes can be overwhelming at times, but they also tend to show us that we have more choices than we initially thought we had. I believe in treating everyone with respect and compassion regardless of gender, age, sexuality, or any other difference. Being able to recognize and become open to both differences and similarities help us create a more secure environment and it allows us to figure out how to meet your personal and specific needs. I look forward to working with you.
Cassandra Sams
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents, young adults and their families. I spent 2 years of my career working at a Children's Advocacy Center, 7 years working in an Adolescent treatment facility, 6 years in private practice, and 2 years in a family counseling center. I have helped others with a wide range of challenges such as anxiety and depression, self-injurious behaviors, low self-esteem, co-dependency concerns, sexual trauma, as well as relationship concerns amongst couples and amongst family members. I have a Specialist in Education degree from Georgia State University and I am Licensed to practice in both Georgia and Florida. When working with clients I use a blend of cognitive-behavioral approaches as well as reality therapy and humanistic approaches. You will find that I enjoy the creative processes as well and may encourage clients to engage in art therapy techniques in order to stimulate a different way of thinking about life's challenges. My goal for clients is for them to feel safe and to feel heard when they meet with me. Clients are the experts on their life obstacles and I view myself as merely a witness to the client's strength and resourcefulness as they overcome these obstacles. It is my sincerest desire to simply be a guide on the route to wholeness.

Christopher Andrews
Hello, my name is Chris Andrews, and I’m a native Atlantan, born and raised in Southwest Atlanta. I attended Georgia State University, where I began developing a passion for helping others navigate life’s challenges. With over 9 years of experience in the behavioral health field, I’ve had the privilege of working with both adolescents and adults, primarily addressing issues related to family conflict, school and work struggles, and behaviors that disrupt home life and relationships. Throughout my career, I’ve seen the powerful impact that support and guidance can have in helping individuals and families break through barriers and create healthier environments. Outside of my professional life, I’m happily married with two children. When I’m not helping others find balance and peace in their lives, I enjoy spending time outdoors, taking in nature, and staying active. I look forward to working together and helping you or your loved ones overcome any challenges you may be facing.
