Joice Mupandawana
My name is Joice, a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of Indiana. I am happy to walk side by side with you as you work through the setback(s) in your life. You do not have to do it alone. My approach is strength and competence based and I draw from a variety of models, (CBT, MI, ACT, DBT, EFT, EMDR, SFBT, AF-CBT, TF-CBT, just to name a few), with the understanding that not one size fits all. I enjoy working with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, anger, trauma and grief. I am a good listener, empathetic and non-judgemental. For immigrants out there, I know how it feels to move into a different country and acculturate. I have been there and done that, so I have a few lessions I have learned in my own journey that may help you get to where you want to be fastor than I did. Immigrant parents, I am here for you. I brought my children here when they were 10, 12 and 15, and our adjustment was not easy! But that experience has equiped me to help others. So, I challange you to dare yourself to trust me. Together we can put the puzzle pieces back in place.

You do not have to continue being unhappy. I work collaboratively with clients to help them identify their needs, strengths, and goals. I take a client centered approach and have experience in multiple treatment modalities that I tailor to fit each client’s expressed goals. Whether a client has a specific issue they know they want to address like depression or post traumatic stress, or they want help exploring why they do the things they do, or they’re dealing with career and life challenges, I look forward to building relationships that expand life skills and move toward solutions. Our daily lives can be very difficult at times. You don’t have to go it alone. Take a therapist on the journey with you.

Hello and welcome to BetterHelp! My name is Lynnette and I applaud you for beginning this journey we call therapy. Whether you’re new to the therapy experience or you’ve been in therapy before, I am here to help you along your journey to wellness and wholeness. I have a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Chicago and over 35 years of professional experience. I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and have engaged individuals, couples, and families in a variety of settings addressing issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, interpersonal and family conflict as well as parent-child relationships. I have also helped clients improve self-esteem, coping skills, adjust to major life changes as well as improve problem-solving and decision-making skills. Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing are the primary approaches utilized and clients are encouraged to actively participate in the therapy process by setting their own goals and evaluating progress towards achieving them. Finally, I am concerned about all aspects of a client’s life including your physical, mental and spiritual health and well-being. Therefore, nothing is “off-limits” during therapy, and I encourage clients to bring any issue/concern they may have to therapy sessions. Thank you for allowing me to share my background with you. I have daytime, evening, and weekend hours to meet your needs and look forward to working with you!

I am a licensed clinical social worker in Indiana with over 15 years of experience working as a therapist and life coach. I earned a Bachelor of Arts (Major: Psychology) from Indiana University, Bloomington in 2003 and earned a Masters in Social Work (MSW) from Indiana University-Purdue University, Indianapolis in 2008. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, career challenges, teens transitioning to adulthood, and healing from past trauma and abuse. I also have experience helping families navigate the child welfare system and foster care. I am passionate about empowering and supporting individuals who have been in or are currently in emotionally abusive or toxic relationships. These relationships may include, but are not limited to, love bombing followed by gaslighting, isolation from your friends or family, questioning your own reality, feel as though you've lost your sense of self, and have a desire to leave but can't bring yourself to go through with it or a desire to get back together with your partner even though you know it is not healthy for you. My goal is to educate you on toxic traits and red flags, empower you to find your sense of self again, and equip you with the tools necessary to heal from this silent abuse. My therapy style is warm, interactive, empowering, yet straightforward and forthright. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmas or labels. I believe everyone has power within them to heal and make healthy changes in their lives. My job is to help you find that power so you can rediscover your voice and start creating the life you want to live! My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic and rational-emotive therapy. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you. I look forward to working with you!
