Caryn Griffin
Hello, I hold a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling and have been working as a counselor since 2007, providing individual counseling, assessment of mental and emotional disorders, crisis intervention and referral assistance as well as mental health programming, community outreach, advocacy, and education. I hold an independent Professional Clinical Counselor license with supervisory designation (LPCC-S) from the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist Board. I believe that counseling is a collaborative process that involves the development of a unique, confidential helping relationship which helps clients better understand themselves and the world around them. Open and honest discussions of feelings, behaviors, relationships, life experiences, and circumstances in a non-judgmental, safe, confidential environment enables individuals to grow towards greater freedom in making healthy choices and taking appropriate actions for more satisfying relationships, self-concept, and progress toward life goals. I utilize a variety of treatment approaches in therapy such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Existential Therapy, Mindfulness Therapy, and Brief Therapy. I have assisted clients with a wide range of mental health issues, such as, depression, anxiety, grief/loss, adjustment, life transitions, and exploration of self (related to gender, sexuality, religion, etc.) to name a few. My goal is to provide a genuine therapeutic relationship and help you feel heard and respected, regardless of the issue or struggle you are facing. I work with clients to help identify strengths, locate support resources, and begin a process of change and growth. I will respect your values, choices, and lifestyle and will see you as an individual with your own unique strengths and limitations. It takes courage to seek advice, help, and/or support in times of struggle. Change can be scary but necessary and the first step is often the scariest. There is power and strength in taking control and choosing to make a change for the better. I am honored to be considered as a resource on your journey. Per Ohio State law ( http://codes.ohio.gov/oac/4757-5-13v1 12) we will need to schedule a video session to verify identity prior to starting services. Once we have our first video-chat, verify identity, and review consent we can start working together using any of the platforms you prefer: messaging, live chat, phone, or video sessions. I recommend reviewing several profiles of various providers before making your choice. It is important to your success that you find a therapist you feel comfortable working with and is a good fit for your needs.

Deanna Eshler
I am a licensed clinical counselor in Ohio with 20 years of professional work experience. I specialize in working with children, teens, and families. My experience includes, but is not limited to, depression, adoption, school/social anxiety, effects of social media on mental health, trauma, parenting, and relationships. I gained this experience through my work in community mental health centers, foster and adoption agency, in the school setting, and intensive home-based counseling with families of at risk youth. Although my identified client base has typically been children and teens, I also did a lot of work with the parents, and other family members, of those youth, as the mental well being of children is dependent on the well being of the parents. Having worked in the foster care system for more than 15 years, I have extensive training in identifying and treating trauma. Our mind and body's response to trauma is fascinating and the studies are ever evolving, as we continue to understand the healing capabilities through treatment. My approach to the counseling process is very individualized to the client, as I understand that no one approach works for every person or situation. I work with my clients to identify their strengths and needs. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. I am here to support & empower you in that journey.
