Yvonne Heim
Hi, My name is Yvonne Heim, a Licensed Professional Counselor with the state of Texas. I have been a counselor for close to fifteen years. I have a master’s degree in psychology with a specialty in addiction and a master’s degree in human services with a specialty in mental health counseling. My approach to helping clients is I understand every client is different as are the problems they present with and one size does not fit all when it comes to helping clients. There are a variety of theories and techniques to assist clients in reaching his or her goals but, Person Centered Therapy along with Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) has worked well for me in treating clients. I want clients to feel comfortable working with me and me with him or her. More importantly, I want a client to leave a session feeling like he or she was heard, and the problems, issues, and goals were the focus of the session. During sessions, clients should feel comfortable sharing and asking questions and not feel judged in any way. Person Centered Therapy is ideal for accomplishing those things. I also believe one's thoughts greatly impact one's mood, emotional well-being, and behavior. Teaching clients how to overcome many of his or her negative thinking patterns is extremely helpful and utilizing DBT can be beneficial in assisting a client to achieve peace within while working on problems and overcoming problems through emotion regulation and mindfulness. Whether it is depression, anxiety, grief, addiction, or some other mental health issue, I will assist and support clients as they work in either overcoming the problem or learn to manage issues more effectively. I am a compassionate and caring counselor and a good listener. I know firsthand how important it is to have a good counselor because I have experienced trauma, grief, and a host of other emotions and symptoms as a result of my trauma. I reached out for a counselor and for me, the counselor I worked with made all the difference in overcoming my life challenges.

Life has a way of exhausting us, especially when it feels like we’re chasing standards no one could possibly meet. I know this struggle deeply. Like so many of us, I’ve juggled work, parenting and relationships while forgetting to take care of myself. I know what it feels like to carry heavy expectations—as a woman of color and a child of an immigrant, I’ve often felt the weight of needing to be strong, capable, and successful all at once. I specialize in helping clients navigate anxiety and depression, and overcome the challenges of life transitions. As a new mother, I have expanded my skills in supporting perinatal individuals. I would love the honor of working with you. Seeking therapy can be uncomfortable but as your therapist, I will create a space where your experiences are seen, your struggles are valid & the goals you want to achieve matter most. You are the expert of your life and the driver on this journey; I am simply your GPS to navigate where you want to go.

Hi! I'm Stas (short for Anastasia, pronounced as if it rhymes: "Stas the Boss"). I am a Texas Licensed Clinical Social Worker Supervisor (LCSW-S #52586) with extensive experience supporting individuals, couples, and families navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, identity exploration, relationship challenges, and professional burnout. My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and grounded in both clinical expertise and real-world application. I believe therapy works best when clients feel respected, understood, and empowered. I integrate evidence-based practices with mindfulness-informed and relational approaches, helping clients build insight and develop practical tools they can use in daily life. My work is especially well-suited for individuals who are reflective, motivated, and seeking depth and clarity in their therapeutic process. I value authenticity, emotional safety, and pacing that honors each client’s unique story. Therapy is not about fixing what is “wrong,” but about strengthening what is already present and creating space for meaningful, sustainable change.
