Dr. Brandon Olive
Hello! I am Dr. Brandon Olive, a licensed clinical psychologist in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. I have learned from personal and professional experience that compassion and caring are crucial to overcoming life's struggles. It's important to acknowledge that an individual's cultural background and personal beliefs are key to individual development and change. I will work with you together, in a collaborative way, to empower you as an expert of your own life. I believe in what science and research can offer in terms of helping us reach our full potential, to use strategies for better planning, thinking, reacting, and behaving. As a clinician with 21 years of experience working in many different settings, one of my strengths has been my exposure to a wide range of clients from many walks of life, all experiencing a broad spectrum of problems and concerns. Your personal characteristics, wants, desires, and needs will help me draw from these experiences to assist you with minor concerns or more severe problems such as major depression, anxiety, panic, serious life adjustment, or prolonged grief. I have some fairly unique experience working for lengthy periods of time with patients suffering from severe symptoms who have required hospitalization and management with medications, including individuals with traumatic brain injuries and psychotic symptoms. As a provider with this background, in addition to counseling, I may be able to provide recommendations for other forms of assistance which are helpful for alleviating difficult-to-treat symptoms and guiding you toward your higher potential. I would encourage you to feel comfortable reaching out to me for an initial chat about your unique concerns and needs. This will enable you to decide in an informed way if we are a good match. No therapist is "effective" if they are not a good "fit". I believe in honesty and transparency when selecting a person with whom you will likely be sharing very personal and sometimes painful experiences. This is a person-to-person endeavor, and you should be comfortable with your selection and what you can expect from this journey. Using online services is an increasingly convenient way for me to reach out to others in my community who are very difficult to engage in my part-time private work, and impossible to reach through my full-time agency work. We can accomplish a lot through this platform. Hopefully I can be of assistance! I look forward to meeting you and mutually determining the best approach for your success. Brandon

Denise O Connor
Hello! I’m a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with over 7 years of experience. I graduated from Lindsay Wilson College in Kentucky with a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling. My professional experience includes working at a Community Mental Health Center and the Veterans Health Administration. I believe that treatment should be guided by the client using a person centered approach to evidence based treatment. I am experienced in treating depression, anxiety, trauma, personality disorders and insomnia. I can be eclectic in my approach but I am most inclined to use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy or Solution Focused Therapy to treat depression or anxiety and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia to treat sleep issues. Dialectical Behavioral Therapy can help you learn to manage your emotions. I believe that therapy should be focused with goals that assist in measuring progress and have a limited number of sessions. I can do live sessions in the evening and all day on Saturday and Sunday. I will always respond to messages within 12 hours (likely sooner.) I look forward to working with you! I can’t wait to meet you!

I will check more frequently when time allows. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in Kentucky with over 13 years of experience as a clinical counselor. I have worked with clients with various concerns over the years. I am most passionate about helping people discover and embrace their personal power to cultivate positive change and create their most meaningful life. I enjoy working with people who have a good life but recognize they may need to more fully tap into their personal power to make positive change and bring that “missing” something into reality. My approach is practical, interactive and empowering. I believe that what happens outside of a therapy session is significant to a successful outcome of therapy. That is why my approach includes practical homework for outside of therapy sessions. Real change happens in small, realistic steps-and my passion is helping you find your unique steps and supporting you while you take those steps. My intention is that anyone who works with me is inspired, motivated, and empowered to do what is needed to accomplish their most important goals. I believe everyone needs to be treated with compassion, kindness, and respect. I do not support stigmatizing or marginalizing labels. I approach each person as unique, valued, and believe everyone brings their own wisdom along with questions and goals to the therapeutic process. I have a diverse background in personal growth and self-discovery approaches, including Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Transactual Analysis, Therapeutic Story Telling, and Object Relations. I also have studied Eastern Based Philosophies and Energy Therapies like Reiki and Buddhism. I enjoy creative, holistic approaches to personal growth and self-discovery, including integrating all I know customized for the person’s unique needs and goals. It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling, happier life and to take the first steps toward change. I am here to support and empower you if you are ready to take that step. ***PLEASE REMEMBER: BetterHelp or a specialty site is not appropriate if you are in a crisis situation or in immediate need of support.
