Greetings. My name is Lee Shadeck and I have been helping people in one form or another since I got fired from a gas station in 1996. I got my introduction into the helping professions in Southern Oregon working with adults with disabilities for a few years before returning home to Pennsylvania to start a family with my wife. I received my Bachelors Degree in Education in 2001 and promptly chose not to use that degree for it's intended purposes and became a Crisis Worker on and off for the next decade. I have worked in group homes, taught Life Skills to incarcerated youth, have been a Case Manager to dual diagnosed adults, and have been the liaison to a State Hospital for adults with Developmental Disabilities. I received my Masters Degree in Counseling in 2011 and have been working as a counselor in higher education as well as doing a bit of adjunct instruction since that time. So I understand that the career and life path is often not a direct route. I am the father of three beautiful, intelligent, well adjusted, usually content, sometimes happy, emerging adults and I hold my job in helping them become good humans as my most valued and important purpose in my existence. I was married to the same woman for the past twenty-three years, since we were but ourselves emerging adults, and understand that even with friendship, love, and respect this type of partnership has it's ebbs and flows; and sometimes relationships are just completed. I understand how difficult the loss of love can be; but also understand that life can be great again after these hardships. I love the outdoors and am constantly hiking, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, biking, walking, or sitting by a fire. I believe in the ability in nature to restore the energy that we constantly give out and always urge people to be outside, no matter the conditions, in order to recharge themselves. I am a youth soccer coach and believe in giving to the community through volunteerism in areas that you find important. I enjoy being creative and productive. I love starting and finishing home improvement projects. I enjoy reading and am passionate about music although I myself am not musically inclined in the least. I understand that even when we are doing everything "right" and doing the things we love...life can still be difficult and sometimes really fricken hard. I consider myself a eclectic person centered counselor who prides myself on the ability to start and maintain positive relationships with my clients in order to enact the changes they wish to see, get through rough patches, reach goals. or just be "happyish". I am open, honest, friendly, and pretty normal. I will work closely with you to help you solve your own issues as I feel we often hold the answers to our own questions.

I have 19 years experience working in Mental Health. I currently work in a private practice outside of Pittsburgh. Sometimes we don’t realize how our thoughts, our work, and our interactions with friends and family can have an impact on how we feel. I can help you explore this. I use a variety of strategies in therapy depending on the client and the problem. I have experience working with clients that struggle with depression, anxiety, self-esteem and family issues. My name is Joseph Wall I am a LPC and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). I obtained my Bachelors in Professional Counseling/Biblical Studies at Lancaster Bible College and my Masters in Marriage and Family Counseling at Liberty University. I believe everyone is doing the best they can, and life at times gets in the way of our best lives causing struggles that are not avoidable and need to be worked through. I believe that how we attach to our safe people and safe places from childhood affects how we are able to cope and regulate our emotional state in life throughout our lifespan. When people of any age feel as if they have a lack of stability and security in their lives, the ability to optimally function is inhibited, and people therefore cannot regulate themselves, and often benefit from working with professionals to re-regulate. I strive to help adolescents, couples, and families find safe people and places in their lives to build a secure base of trust, safety, and hope in healthy relationships with others. My experience is in Marriage and Family Counseling, Individual Outpatient Counseling, School Based Outpatient Counseling, Community Based Counseling, Therapeutic Day Treatment in schools (Elementary through High School) , and in Medically Assisted Treatment for Opioid Addiction.

Hello and welcome. I am an Ordained Minister (Rev), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and a National Certified Counselor (NCC) in Pennsylvania. My background is in pastoral ministry (since January 2001). My wife and I have been married since June of 2000 and we have five children ranging in ages from 11 to 17. Over the past 23 years I have spent a lot of time in counseling with individuals, couples, and families helping them to overcome their struggles (Parenting, premarital and marital issues, ADHD, depression, anxiety, gambling and substance abuse and addiction, legal issues, religious issues, trauma and PTSD, grief and loss, and many others). I desired to be better equipped to help, so I went back to get my MA in Marriage and Family Therapy which I completed in December of 2017. I was glad to be able to bring my real world experience to the classroom and I found that I was already putting into practice a lot of what I was studying. Over the years I have worked with clients from all walks of life. I've had clients from all faiths (and no faith) backgrounds, straight and LBGTQIA, children, teens, adults, parents, grandparents, and people in Hospice and their families. I believe that you are the expert of your life. I will help you find ways to utilize your strength to overcome your struggles and move you from your current situation to where you want to be. I will be your supporter, your cheerleader, your encourager, and your teammate. I believe that real change can start in the therapy session, but you make the change happen outside of session and in the real world. You can do it, you can achieve your goals. I'm looking forward to helping you do so.

How does the cost of in-person counseling with a therapist compare to the cost of BetterHelp with a licensed Eastvale therapist?

The average price of an in-person therapy session in the US with most therapists is $100 to $200 per hour. These prices may be higher in Eastvale due to a higher cost of living, and a limited number of therapists taking new clients. The price also depends on the type of provider you are looking for. See the following average prices for various mental health providers without insurance:

  • Counseling with a psychiatrist: $150-$500
  • Counseling with therapists: $100-300
  • Therapy with a psychologist: $100

While many psychologists in Eastvale may not take health insurance, some therapists in the state of Pennsylvania may work on a sliding scale, meaning they'll factor in your income and charge what you can afford per session. With a BetterHelp therapist throughout the state of Pennsylvania you can expect significantly more affordable options, with therapists sessions ranging from $65 to $100 per week (billed every four weeks). If you're looking for a therapist, Cincinnati offers a variety of professionals who can help with your mental health needs at a price you can afford.

How do I know if online counseling is right for my family in Eastvale?

One of the potentially rewarding aspects of working with a Eastvale therapist is the validation and active listening they can provide. Your friends and loved ones may also be available to listen, but you may feel that they may lack the skills to provide objective guidance. Counselors and therapists are trained to respond to various concerns, symptoms, and mental health conditions in Eastvale therapy sessions.

Eastvale therapists in your city can support you toward a healthier emotional state, regardless of your mental health, life concerns, or healing needs. While supporting individuals in developing healthier habits, another good benefit of Eastvale therapy is having an understanding, safe space with a non-judgmental party who can support you through challenging experiences.

Many people have sensitive topics that they may feel ashamed to discuss with their friends or partner. A Eastvale therapist can help you confront these concerns and open up through unique methods of support. There are also many types of therapy, such as art therapy, where you may find you can express yourself through creativity instead of words with a psychotherapist.

With a lot of people in PA, therapists may be booked out with clients. Through the list of profiles or therapists above and others within BetterHelp's team, you may be able to find a psychologist within 24 to 48 hours. If you're searching to find a a nearby psychotherapist close to 15010 or the surrounding zip codes, consider others available through the BetterHelp site where you can schedule a session based on your and the therapist's schedule. No matter if you are seeking help from therapists in your area or beyond, online therapy can be a great option.

How should I prepare for my first therapy session with a Eastvale counselor?

Before seeing your Eastvale therapist, prep for your session by reading to understand the therapy process. You might write a list of questions you want to ask your psychotherapist, any emotional pain you may feel, and the ways in which you hope to improve. When you attend your session, you can let our therapists know if you have any concerns about therapy or feel unsure about what to talk about. Eastvale therapists here may help guide you with open-ended therapeutic questions while offering mental health services. The first session will often serve as an intake to get to know you as a person and learn why you're attending therapy in Eastvale.

Should I find a therapist or psychologist for therapy if I feel fine?

Some simply don't feel the need to see a psychologist. However, some people may avoid attending therapy due to stigma or preconceived notions of what therapy entails. Although psychologists often support people with mental health conditions, you do not need a diagnosis or condition to attend therapy. You can discuss grief, relationship concerns, stress, or life changes and ask for general feedback and advice from a therapist. A Eastvale licensed clinical social worker may help you gain power over your life and emotions while you navigate day-to-day experiences.

Gaining a new perspective on yourself through various therapies might allow you to improve your self-esteem, work through relationships, and gain a better sense of your mental health goals. The success you may find through therapy with a Eastvale counselor can be dependent on your process.

People may also attend therapy for specific motives, such as bullying, an autism diagnosis, a desire to learn mindfulness meditation, personality concerns, trouble with office workers, specific phobias, and many other principles that a counselor can help with.

Is mental health care and therapy with a therapist worth it?

Therapy with a licensed counselor is effective and has the power to change individuals' lives. Each client is at a different stage of their emotional healing journey in life, as each human can be unique in their personality, expression, skills, and goals. A psychologist can target various symptoms, experiences, and personalities to help you feel your best and put you on the path to healing. Unlike advice from a friend, family, or non-professional, a mental health therapist has an understanding of various disorders like ADHD and depression with many hours of experience in treating adults in their practice. For this reason, seeing an evidence based psychologist in Eastvale, Pennsylvania can be worth it. Over 41 million adults in the US attend therapy services each year, showing it's a popular option and is proven to be effective.

Eastvale has many clinicians who practice person or client-centered individual therapy in-person and through online therapy to assist clients in their healing journey. If you opt into online therapy, you might also be able to meet with providers all over the United States and change therapists easily at any time. Many people struggling with anxiety and depression, substance abuse, body image issues, and more find therapists that are a good fit for them, feel supported, and gain further insight into their lives through internet-based therapy.

Do therapists judge you in therapy sessions during telehealth appointments?

The boundaries between you and a therapist are in place to help you and them regarding ethical concerns. Mental health professionals are held by ethical standards through the American Psychological Association (APA) and are not allowed to judge or harm their clients. If you are concerned about sharing details about yourself, feel free to withhold personal information. Their job in the therapeutic relationship is to create a safe place, help you gain a deeper understanding of your mental health, and support you. You might consider changing counselors if you don't feel safe or respected.
