Hello! I completed my Bachelor of Science in Human Services/Management in 2012 from the University of Phoenix. I earned my Master of Science in Clinical Counseling in 2016 from Bellevue University in Nebraska. I graduated with my Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) certificate from Capella University in 2023. I have worked in a variety of mental and behavioral health venues, including at-risk and detained youth as a support specialist, a mental health crisis responder, an outpatient therapist, an intensive in-home therapist, and a foster care therapist. My recent primary focus has been on behavioral modification, therapeutic skills building with implementation and practice, and ABA for those with severe and persistent mental and behavioral health problems and those with neurocognitive or other delays. I have worked with clients with a wide range of challenges, including depression, anxiety, mood disruption, emotional dysregulation, ADHD, adjustment disorders, parenting problems, suicidal ideation and self-injurious behavior, and anger management as well as developmental deficits. I hold my independent practitioner license in Nebraska, Iowa, and Minnesota; I am board-certified through the National Board for Certified Counselors, with additional Nebraska credentials including Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Drug and Alcohol Counselor; I am a behavior analyst. I work to provide individualized and active therapeutic assessment and intervention based on strengths and needs. My counseling style is warm and engaging. I want my clients to be as involved in their treatment planning and interventions as possible. I work hard to provide a mutually respectful and dignified environment that fosters growth and development towards improved functioning and a decrease in symptoms that may be making life difficult. My approach uses a combination of cognitive-behavioral, dialectical behavior, person-centered, motivational interviewing, and guided discovery psychotherapy modes in order to meet each individual's needs and goals. Always remember that asking for help and seeking positive change can be difficult, but they are worth it. I will support, guide, and empower you if you are ready to take that step.

A therapeutic relationship is the most powerful healing tool. I build therapeutic alliances, connect, with clients while exploring their emotional lives and histories. I am a psychotherapist with 35 years experience doing individual, couples, family, and group therapy with a variety of client populations. I have worked in a community mental health agency, an agency serving adolescents and their families, and have been in private practice for thirty years. I am also a trained dancer and my psychotherapeutic approach increasingly explores, in simple ways, the relationship between mind and body, and how this can promote healing and well being. I work with people who have symptoms of depression and anxiety as well as personality disorder traits, with a sensitivity to trauma effects, healing, and post traumatic growth. To this end I help clients develop awareness of their autonomic nervous system states in order to learn to identify cues of safety, and use trauma focused skills, such as EMDR and gentle movement, to facilitate a change in relationship between a person in their present life and past toxic experiences, while slowly working to resolve related issues through therapeutic interactions based in developmental, cognitive, and attachment frameworks.

Asking for help can be very difficult and I believe it takes a lot of strength. I feel everybody needs a little help at some point in their life and there is nothing wrong with that. I embrace the opportunity to be the person people can reach out to for that help. I feel honesty is very important and will offer a safe, non judgmental space for you to openly share your thoughts and struggles. I am a licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in the state of Iowa with 15 years work experience. I believe it is important to meet people where they are at and am willing to do so while also offering gentle encouragement to help people get to where they want to be. I have worked with individuals with substance abuse issues, anger issues, trauma history, relationship issues, grief and loss, and parenting issues. I have worked closely with immigration populations on a professional and personal basis. I look forward to hearing from you.

Tarin Bickford
Thanks for taking the time to read my profile! My name is Tarin Bickford and I've been a clinical social worker for more than two decades. In that time, I've worked with children and adults dealing with a wide-variety of issues such as trauma, addiction, mental health concerns, intimate partner violence, PTSD and child abuse (as well as many other life-altering issues). My approach to therapy is multi-faceted and I incorporate many modalities into my work (although I primarily use cognitive behavioral, acceptance and commitment and solution-focused therapy). Life can be so challenging and I commend you for taking the first step toward a better future. Engaging in the therapeutic process opens windows and doors you didn't even realize were closed. Together we can work on anything that is troubling you so that you can enjoy life to the fullest. I want to help you become the best version of yourself and will do this by fostering a therapeutic relationship built on mutual respect, trust and an abundance of kindness. You deserve to be safe, happy and well-treated. Let's work together to turn your life into exactly what you want it to be.

Rochelle Rheingans
I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, licensed in the state of Minnesota. I have been in private practice for 8 years now. Clients I have worked with have diagnoses from depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders and personality disorders to name a few. I have extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. My counseling style varies depending on each individual client. I make every attempt to treat clients as a whole person, not to divide a person's life challenges as separate from the person. This is helpful to see that a problem can be resolved by relying on other strengths of the individual. I will use humor and normalizing as tools to help clients as well as skill building and self compassion as tools the clients can use to help themselves when they are ready. I do not shy away from challenges and I know that reaching out for help is scary and going into a place of unknown. I look forward to walking alongside clients as they journey through the process of starting to live their best life. I will be your biggest cheerleader, loudest advocate and strongest defender as you go through the challenges and triumphs of counseling.
