Linda Schelander
Welcome! My name is Linda Schelander and I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in the state of North Carolina. I have a Masters degree in Counseling from Southwestern College in Santa Fe, NM and I have been working in the mental health field for over twenty years. Thank you for taking that courageous step to engage in counseling. I strive to build a comfortable, trusting relationship with each one of my clients; building a therapeutic relationship that feels SAFE is one of my top priorities. My approach to therapy is primarily client centered as I believe each person is the experts on his/her/themselves and their lives. I believe that clients determine the direction and depth of the therapy. I use several therapy approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which helps you explore thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that might be leading to an unproductive life and/or keeping you feeling stuck emotionally. I use trauma-based therapies as well as mindfulness based therapies to assist you in coping with and managing the symptoms of depression, anxiety, PTSD, poor self image, grief and loss, overwhelming stress, major life transitions, and more. I can provide you with tools to improve your interpersonal communications with those close to you. At times, I will challenge you as I assist you in exploring who you are, and what you want in your life. My goal for you is that you be able to express your emotions fully, manage your symptoms, make needed changes, believe in yourself, and move toward the life you want. I look forward to working with you!

Russell Goodwin
I am a solutions-focused Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) licensed in North Carolina since 2009. I have extensive experience working with adult populations and, in particular, those who struggle with depression, anxiety, and existential concerns. I hold a masters degree in professional counseling as well as masters degrees in two other disciplines (business, education). I am active in higher education having served as an undergraduate human services instructor since 2009. If we choose to work together, we will spend time exploring how your beliefs and thoughts influence your feelings and behaviors (i.e., a cognitive-behavioral approach). We will also focus on what truly motivates you and use that information to determine goals that are both relevant and doable (i.e., a motivational interviewing approach). I will work with diligence to provide a space for you to explore both your thoughts AND your feelings. If this sounds compelling, feel free to schedule an appointment!

Hi there! My name is Randy. I'm a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with 10 years of experience in the field. My ideal client is ready to begin a journey of self-improvement and positive change. While my primary expertise is in treating addictions, I use the principles learned in recovery for all areas of behavioral health and wellness, from work-life balance and mental disorders to trauma histories, and relationship dynamics. We all struggle with something, but often we need expert guidance to get unstuck and move forward. That's where I come in. Together, we will identify your core issues (and strengths) and develop goals designed to maximize your potential and increase your quality of life. Let's get started! Your mental health is important to me, because mental health is the key to a productive and happy life. I believe most problems we face stem from unhealthy belief systems and problematic thinking. Fortunately, we can all learn to change the way we think. In doing so, we change our lives for the better!

Latechia Hester
I am an African American female Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Illinois and I started my career in the counseling field in 2001, as a group home counselor for at-risk male youths, homeless young male adults, and their families, where we worked on family reunification, substance abuse, LGBTQ+ Issues, job skills, life skills, and independent living. From there I moved more into the substance abuse field working with DUI offenders, court mandated persons ordered to do anger management, and as an interventionist for families, and individuals who struggle with all forms of addiction and co-dependency. Since then, I returned to school to obtain my masters in Clinical Mental Health, during which time I worked with individuals who struggled with family issues, depression, suicide, grief and loss, schizophrenia disorder, bi-polar disorder, anxiety disorder, PTSD, dually diagnosed individuals, and those with other co-occurring disorders in an outpatient hospital clinic setting. I then furthered my career and obtained a second master's degree in School Counseling, where I enveloped experience in working with students in an inner-city school setting who struggled with body image, depression, suicide, self-harm, substance abuse, LGBTQ+ issues, ADHD, ADD, OCD, neighborhood trauma, sexual abuse, emotional abuse, physical abuse, and post-traumatic stress disorder. My primary therapeutic orientations are cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused therapy; however, I strongly believe that it is essential to meet a person "where they are at" and establish a therapeutic alliance using my developed professional skills and eclectic abilities to provide each individual with a therapeutic orientation is necessary to move them toward a place of peace and healing. I believe in the purpose of counseling and I believe that even the most skeptical can become a believer! METAMORPHOSIS is the process of change into something adult, mature and breathtaking. I would like to think that I've been entrusted by clients to help them transition into living a better life, so that they may spread their wings and fly! My goal is to uplift, empower, teach, and motivate those who struggle to work toward living a healthy and happy lifestyle. My commitment is to provide the best clinical services each person deserves with dignity and respect and there has been no greater pleasure for me other than to be blessed with the opportunities to work with individuals in this field of healing and the transformation of lives.
