Emily Cyburt
Hello! My name is Emily Cyburt, and I have been an outpatient mental health therapist since 2013, and have been licensed since 2019 in the state of Pennsylvania as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Master of Science degree in Community Counseling. I am a Certified Personality Disorder Treatment Provider (C-PD) with training to treat individuals with personality disorders, as well as help those being affected by someone in their life with a personality disorder. I am recognized as a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) with the National Board of Certified Counselors since 2018, a voluntary national certification, and the largest national counselor certification in the world, that identifies counselors who have met national standards set by the profession. Additionally, I have received training in Certified Integrative Mental Health which is evidence based holistic approaches to prevent and treat common mental health problems. I prefer to work with teens, young adults, and middle aged persons. I am most comfortable and competent in treating those with anxiety, depression, stress, low self esteem/self confidence, relationship/marital problems, and family problems. The areas in which I have the least, or minimal experience in treating are trauma-focused, grief and loss, and post-partum issues/depression. My counseling style is non-Christian based, truthful and honest. I believe change can only occur through dedication to the process, hard work outside of session, honest reflection, and working together as a team. My approach combines Person Centered, Cognitive Behavioral, Psychoeducational, and Rational-Emotive counseling. But what does all that mean? Person-centered therapy is talk therapy wherein you, the client, does most of the talking. I will not judge or try to interpret what you say, but may restate your words in an attempt to fully understand your thoughts and feelings. CBT places an emphasis on changing thinking patterns. Through exercises in the session, as well as “homework” exercises outside of sessions, clients are helped to develop coping skills, whereby they can learn to change their own thinking, problematic emotions, and behavior. Psychoeducation helps people better understand (and become accustomed to living with) mental health conditions. It is generally known that those who have a thorough understanding of the challenges they are facing as well as knowledge of personal coping ability, internal and external resources, and their own areas of strength are often better able to address difficulties, feel more in control of the condition(s), and have a greater internal capacity to work toward mental and emotional well-being. REBT is an action-oriented approach that’s focused on helping people deal with irrational beliefs and learn how to manage their emotions, thoughts, and behaviors in a healthier, more realistic way. Using these approaches, we will work together to create a plan and goals to help you achieve success. It takes courage to seek help and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you. I look forward to working with you!

Elizabeth Smith
My name is Elizabeth “Liz” Smith. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania, and a National Certified Counselor. I completed my master's degree in professional counseling at Waynesburg University in 2010 as a nontraditional student. I have primarily worked with those who have struggled with depression, anxiety, career issues, mood dysregulation, relationship and couple problems, and other life challenges presented by any type of life being disordered. I have worked with many families and children on the autism spectrum and have been told that my insight is helpful. I have obtained Specialized Family Therapy Certification and training to provide Co-Parenting, Trans-Parenting, and Re-unification services. Finally, I have also studied and provided grief and loss approaches in counseling. As a therapist, I walk alongside and focus on each person’s specific identified needs and I adjust my style accordingly. In addition to trauma evidence-based approaches, I tend to draw from client centered, solution focused, strength based and motivational approaches. Many of my clients have reported experiencing increased positive self-image, freedom from emotions tied to traumatic memories, and improved constructive communication and coping skills. I am down to earth and approachable. My goal is to help you feel comfortable, and without judgement, accepted and understood. I will check and respond to messages at least twice daily, six days a week. I will offer live chat, phone sessions and occasional video sessions weekly, mostly between the hours of 8 AM and 6 PM on identified days of the week.

Deborah Marlowe

My therapy style tends to be solution focused and goal driven. When this issue is resolved how will you know? Everyone should reach to achieve their goals and live their happiest most fulfilling life for themselves. I hope to be a small part of that journey.

Dr. Harriet Heath
My work is mostly with parents. Parents, trying to figure out how they want to nurture and guide their children and to find guidance and help. My approach encourages parents to observe and describe situations that relate to their concerns and to brainstorm possible solutions. I frequently add to their list of possible solutions thus giving information and suggesting relevant skills. Parents decide which of their brainstormed ideas to implement by answering questions about their beliefs, values and the needs of their family members. Discussions about the questions and solutions gives parents an opportunity to raise additional parental concerns such as those related to work outside the home and those of being at home, family conflicts, stress and anxiety in parents and such issues as sleeping, eating problems and just plain misbehavior in children. Clients are encouraged to try different solutions and to report their degree of effectiveness and, if necessary to look for other solutions and to raise additional issues.
