I have 20 years experience working with a variety of issues, including depressed patients, PTSD (combat, domestic and other traumas) anxiety, aging, and cognitive problems resulting in difficulty communicating rationally and calmly. I have worked 5 years in substance abuse, worked with homeless severely mentally ill and nine and a half years working with service members and their families. My perspective is more long term. As a mother and a grandmother I tend to think beyond immediate consequences and impact of one's actions. My thought is that I need to know what you want therapy to do for you and we work together to find a path to your goal.
