Mission My counseling work is driven by a deep commitment to equity and providing high-quality mental health services. I strive to foster positive change by listening to clients with compassion and assisting them in identifying and addressing what is hindering their growth. My goal is to empower individuals and families to overcome challenges, build resilience, and achieve meaningful, lasting change that promotes healing and emotional well-being. With over 15 years of experience working with adults, children, and families, I have dedicated my career to fostering emotional well-being and resilience. My work is guided by a deep commitment to meeting people where they are, listening with compassion, and empowering them to navigate challenges and find solutions that align with their values and strengths. Throughout my career, I have served in diverse roles, including Outpatient Therapist, Assessment & Referral Counselor, Crisis Assessor, Clinical Screener, Behavior Specialist Consultant, Mobile Therapist, Adjunct Teacher, Group Facilitator, Parent Educator, and leadership positions within the behavioral health field. These experiences have given me a profound understanding of the effects of adverse experiences, emotional dysregulation, and the challenges that arise in relationships, parenting, and life transitions. Counseling Philosophy I use a person-centered, strength-based approach that aligns with cognitive-behavioral principles to help clients identify and achieve attainable goals. My focus is on reducing distress, enhancing emotional well-being, and fostering positive change. My adaptable counseling style ensures that the unique needs of each client are met.

I consider myself to be very eclectic in my approach blending a client driven approach with strengths that they bring to the table. I believe thoughts lead to actions, that the past and present are of equal importance. I think it is important to bring to light how our past problems, our family systems and our current relationships, depression, trauma and grief can all be interrelated. I believe in helping to raise up the client to become their own advocate. We need to join our client on their journey to become the best version of themselves able to better handle whatever narrative of their life they are writing. I think that my life experiences lend themselves well to most clients and their needs and look forward to helping clients with whatever they need to have help with, no matter how big or small the experience of working through it together is worth it.
