Dr. David Mathews
I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with a Doctorate in Psychology practicing in Minnesota with over 35 years of experience working as a counselor or therapist. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including trauma, victims-survivors of intimate partner violence, those who have been abusive toward a family member or others and those who have witnessed hurtful behaviors in the home or Community, parenting problems, sexual violence, bullying experiences, emotional regulation, depression, anxiety, relationship issues and chemical health concerns. My counseling style is warm and interactive. It has been my experience that the best results leading to any healing or through a helping process are based in establishing a professional mutually respectful relationship. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in the use of stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral therapy, Adlerian thinking, a Feminist - Oppression perspective, with a Developmental and attachment lens. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. It takes courage to seek support, information and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step I am here ready to be by your side to support and empower you as you are journeying on your current life path. I look forward to working with you!

Danielle (Dani) Spolarich
Hello! Thank you for taking a few minutes to learn more about me! My name is Dani and I’ve been working in the substance use and behavioral health fields for thirteen years. I have a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Minnesota Duluth and a master’s degree in mental health counseling from Capella University. I am an independently licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Minnesota as well as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor. I have worked primarily in the non-profit sector but, have worked directly with corrections, court, and probation clients during that time as well. Although I have worked with adolescents, my primary focus has been adult clientele. I have additional training in grief counseling and working with individuals that have experienced trauma. The majority of my experience has been with those that have concerns with both substance abuse and mental health. This allows me to help with not only mental health concerns but, substance abuse issues and how the two intertwine. I have worked in a small community and due to this, have learned the importance of protecting confidentiality and the benefits of engaging in online counseling to ensure you have an objective opinion. Throughout my career I have subscribed to the idea of cognitive behavioral therapy as I like the very involved, practical approach to looking at out problems and concerns and changing the patterns of thinking that keep us from moving past these things to where we want to be. Once we learn our goals, cognitive behavioral therapy approaches help us to reach them in practical terms. I do believe that you should be able to direct what you want out of therapy and what you want to accomplish so, we will work together in order to make the changes you are looking to implement and set reachable goals to get there. I am looking forward to working with you!

Hello! I believe that therapy can help us solve problems, and feel better about things that cannot or will not change. I use structured types of therapy (CBT, DBT, ACT, motivational interviewing, problem solving and solutions focused therapies) to help you explore your concerns, challenge thinking and behaviors that aren't working for you, and emotionally come to terms with the tough stuff. I am excited to help you feel more in control of your emotional wellbeing. I'm glad you're here, and look forward to connecting with you! I have expertise treating OCD, anxiety, depression, bipolar, stress & life transitions, chronic illness and post-partum mental health. I hold a Master's in Counseling Psychology which I earned at Assumption College (Worcester, MA) in 2012. Since then, I have worked in outpatient mental health clinics, community mental health clinics, residential care and online providing telehealth.

Rachel Samuelson
Hey there, I'm Rachel. I have been a social worker for over eight years and have experience working with individuals from different backgrounds and various challenges. Much of my experience has been working with individuals with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, trauma, and adjustment to everyday life challenges. My counseling style is warm, empathic, and nonjudgmental. I have received feedback that clients feel they can be their authentic selves with me. I will help you navigate the difficulties you are facing with compassion, honesty, and respect. My therapeutic approach is integrative and person-centered with evidence-based strategies. I pull from cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness therapeutic techniques. I firmly believe that the most significant indication of successful therapy comes from the relationship between therapist and patient. I will take the time to listen and get to know you better to create a trusting and comfortable environment for the client to utilize their strengths, unique capacities, and accountability. I am willing to work in whichever format you feel most comfortable with! My availability is mainly in the late afternoon/evening, but I can check and answer a few messages throughout the day. I know how hard it can be to ask for help, but I am here to help you navigate these challenges, and if you are ready to take the initial steps towards changing your life, I am here to support and empower you. I look forward to working with you!
