Lisa Williams
Hello and welcome! My name is Lisa Williams. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado and a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in New Mexico. I completed my Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology at the University of Colorado at Denver. I have over 24 years of experience in a variety of settings helping people with various issues, such as depression and anxiety, post-traumatic stress, trauma/abuse, life changes/transitions, relationship difficulty, and other issues. Everyone is different and has different needs at different times, so the type of therapy used is customized. The most helpful approaches are usually Cognitive and Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, trauma informed models, Solution Focused therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and narrative therapies. It can be so helpful to feel understood and to have someone on your side to help navigate any changes you want to make. Sometimes we can make big or small life changes. Sometimes we accept things as they are and find ways to still have the life we want. My style is to understand you and what your going through, help you with self-understanding, and work together to make changes or add skills to meet your personal goals. Life can be hard! We all need help sometimes. It would be my honor to work together with you to help navigate life's difficulties.

Lori Bennett
Have you survived a childhood of emotional neglect? Emotional neglect in childhood can lead to a great deal of confusion in adult life. Aftereffects may include a drive to prove oneself through over-achievement, excessive self-doubt and criticism, and a disconnection from one's own needs. These aftereffects can be exacerbated if one or both parents were narcissistic. For many women, providing care-giving in relationships is not a choice; it is our sole identity. It may be the only way we feel valued. Together, let's resolve the grief and loss surrounding your history, so that you can live to your full potential, find inner harmony and peace. Providing virtual and phone sessions in Colorado and Arizona. I work primarily with adult women with histories of emotional neglect and trauma. I have expertise in the areas of bereavement and loss, PTSD, and alcoholic family systems. I have also studied with Karyl McBride, author of Will I Ever Be Good Enough? Healing the Daughters of Narcissistic Mothers. I am also the author of a fictional memoir. Mother Load is the story of Pamela, a young woman who suffered emotional neglect in her relationship with her adoptive mother. If you love to read and you'd like to immerse yourself in a novel that details my work, you can visit the website at Lori Bennett Books dot com. Most people begin psychotherapy at a point in their lives when what they have been doing in the world is no longer working for them. They would like to find alternative ways to think, act, feel, communicate, and perceive themselves, but do not have the tools to discover those alternatives on their own. Many people also go through life with unresolved losses that can affect their behaviors and attitudes about others. I am very familiar with helping people to examine their relationship struggles and patterns, and to create positive changes through increased communication and connection. It has always been my privilege as a psychotherapist to assist clients to reach their goals and empower themselves to live to their full potential.

As counselor, my role is to guide you to a lifestyle that embodies a sense of stability, peace, and feeling of progression. Together we work toward managing and removing the barriers that prevent reaching life's meaning and purposeful goals. I will frequently inquire from you an evaluation, if my approach feels comfortable for you since counseling is a place to stimulate empowerment and growth. Because counseling is a safe environment to communicate what's on your mind in a non-judgmental environment, I want to make sure you have the space to explore the deep recesses of your heart, at your pace, in your time. When you are ready to speak or just be, I am available to support you. I am here for you.

Maria ("Mali") Jimenez
I am a licensed clinical social worker with 10 years experience helping individuals through various hardships and stages of life. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, relationship issues (co-dependency, attachment wounds), trauma, and other conditions. I am currently licensed in Washington DC and Colorado, with plans to obtain licensure in other states. I have worked in a variety of non profit and hospital settings, as well as in private practice. My therapy style is compassionate and precise, yet I also challenge clients to come up against their growth edges so that they can experience the breakthroughs that they came to therapy for. I apply a mindfulness based somatic approach with my clients to allow them a chance to develop skills to bring greater awareness to their thoughts, emotions and bodily experience. I also combine a cognitive behavioral approach with a psychodynamic perspective because I believe that looking into family system dynamics as well as early life attachment wounding helps to be able to transform any dysfunctional patterning into beliefs and behaviors that serve you. I will allow you as the client to take the lead on your process, while providing collaboration and support every step of the way to ensure that you meet your goals. I look forward to working with you!

My formal education and professional experience have prepared me to counsel individuals, couples, families and groups My primary theoretical approach is cognitive behavior therapy. This is a short-term, goal-oriented psychotherapy treatment that takes a hands-on, practical approach to problem-solving. My goal is to change patterns of thinking or behavior that are behind client’s difficulties, and so change the way they feel. I am committed to helping all individuals. I understand asking for help can be challenging and uncomfortable for some. My goal is to create a space where the client can be open, vulnerable, and communicate their feelings without judgment. I work with clients from all backgrounds and cultural settings. I personally invite you to experience finding hope within yourself to navigate through life. I invite clients to my office. It’s warm and welcoming. Our first session is a Consultation. During this session we will discuss why you have chosen to seek counseling as a solution to your needs. The next few sessions will involve an evaluation of your needs. I will be able to offer you some first impressions of what our work will include and a treatment plan to follow, if you decide to continue with therapy. Therapy involves a large commitment of time and resources such as money and mental and emotional energy, so it is important to select the right therapist to work with you and your family.
