How to stop having panic attacks for no reason.
Thank you so much for your questions.
Panic Attacks are brief periods of intense and usually overwhelming anxiety. These attacks can also include physical symptoms that might be so intense they can make you feel like you are dying. Symptoms can seem to come out of nowhere or are triggered by events and situations in our lives. No matter what the cause, panic attacks and overwhelming. But anxiety can be treated.
For some, relaxation techniques, mindfulness and meditation are helpful in calming the intense fear and worry that are experienced. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is also used to challenge the anxious thoughts that can accompany these types of attacks. There are other treatments like exposure therapy and even medications can be helpful.
It is very important to know that you are not alone. There are many individuals who have experienced periods of panic and panic attacks in their lives and they have learned to successfully address these feelings. The first step is to work with a therapist who you are comfortable with and who will listen and understand your feelings and concerns. You can then work together to determine what the best course of action is for you.
By participating in the therapeutic relationship, you will be able to determine the cause of your panic, assess your thoughts and feelings (both physical and emotional) during an attack, explore the most appropriate interventions for you and practice those interventions in a safe and caring space. The goal of therapy is to help you regain a feeling of emotional and mental balance so that you can be the most authentic and best version of yourself that you can be.
Thank you again for asking this question. It takes a lot of courage to seek help with deeply personal issues. I am hoping that, whether you work with me or another therapist, that you find the tools, strategies, and techniques that you are looking for to reduce your level of stress and anxiety and go back to enjoying the life that you deserve to live.
Good luck in your journey to healing and I hope to hear from you soon
