Bullying needs to stop because it can lead to a traumatic experience for the individual who is bullied. Being bullied as a child can have a lasting effect on an individual even as they grow up. Adults can also be bullied. Therefore, age does not mean anything in regards to who can suffer from being bullied. Bullied needs to stop because it can lead to an individual dealing with traumatic and or psychological distress in the days, weeks, months, and years after they experienced being bullied or targeted by a bully in any way, shape, or form.

Researchers shared that verbal bullying was considered the number one cause of bullying, with physical bullying falling in second and internet bullying falling in third place. Therefore, it is more common that once someone has said something hurtful to someone else, it can become a constant replay in a person’s mind. Once it becomes a replay in an individual’s mind, an individual can rethink and or replay the negative and /or verbal statement repeatedly in their head, which can cause someone much more emotional distress.

Bullying needs to stop because researchers also shared that in recent years, bullying and or cyberbullying, in particular, has had a vastly increased number of adolescents attempting and or committing suicide due to being victimized over and over by a perpetrator. The increased number of cases of adolescents attempting and or committing suicide would have increased more so if the victim was being bullied by traditional bullied and /or cyberbullied using some form of online technology.  The increased means of bullying someone with the use of technology has been quite detrimental as a victim nowadays usually does not have the ability to leave their school, job, and or location where the bullying is happening because now more perpetrators are continuing with their harassment, intimidation, force, coercion and into the home and personal space of the victims that they are bullying. This realization is quite devastating as cyberbullying continues to go past the school, job, and location where the bullying is happening,g and it now transpires right into the victim's home, which can use the victim not to feel safe in any environment.
