Hello, it sounds like you are having a hard time adjusting to life right now.

Death can open our minds to different aspects in life whether that be negative or positive. It also sounds like you are in a phase of life where you are questioning things around you. Finding that peace within yourself and finding purpose in what you do can help ease that feeling of uncertainty. Doing this is not easy but it is obtainable. You can start by adjusting your mindset. For example start by being mindful of what you are doing and being present in those moments. Looking at your morning is a great start, do you allow yourself time to wake up and get ready with time, do you make your bed as starting one productive accomplishment in the day, do you have a cup of coffee or tea to start your day and purposely take the time to enjoy that cup. Holding that cup of coffee, allowing yourself to feel the warmth in your hand, and smelling the aroma of the drink. These are just quick examples of how to be mindful within your day. It can take practice, some days may be easier than others but with practice mindfulness can become automatic. Being mindful can lead to finding gratitude in your life. It allows you to slow down and take a look at your surrounds and take gratitude for the things you may have overlooked in your life. For example: such as a car for transportation, a home to keep you warm and safe, clothes to wear, money to buy food, a job to go to in order to earn money to sustain your life, friends or family that you can lean on for support, or things of this nature. Allowing yourself to see the good around you in turn can lead to creating a more positive mindset. It is so easy to see the world as negative especially when the negative is what attracts others interest most times. The news is full of sad and negative stories and rarely about positive events. People tend to want to hear about other peoples struggles instead of hearing about others triumphs. Looking and exploring yourself, do you find it is easy to find what you are doing wrong, what is missing in your life, what it is you have not yet accomplished? What about the opposite to that. Do you ever take the time to acknowledge your strengths and accomplishments throughout the week or even the day. Do you check things off your list whether mentally or physically to know you have been productive? Do you take the time to create a positive self talk dialogue when feeling emotionally drained? These are all things to start thinking about in order to create a more positive mindset as well as creating better habits for yourself. Bad habits can become so natural that they are just automatic to where you may not even know you are doing a "bad habit". Again that goes with it being easier to always look at the negative instead of being able to see possible blessings around you. Motivation can be hard to obtain so when you are feeling unmotivated go back to being consistent. Consistency is what is going to make those changes in life. Motivation is a feeling of excitement and joy. A feeling that can create that sense of starting a habit or restarting an old habit but consistency is what is going to continue that habit. Consistency is what continues us to push through situations that may be difficult like not wanting to go to work everyday but getting up and having to push yourself through it because that can lead to other various negative outcomes.

Also it sounds like this is a hard time in your life where you are right now and transitions are difficult. Change can be difficult to embrace. You have the power to change how you feel and how long you want to suffer with those feelings. Gaining additional support around you is important. Looking at your support system around you and utilizing them is also key to creating a community of love and comfort. A support system can include friends, family, significant others, or coworkers. Everyone's support system is different but finding out who yours is can help to ease this process as well. Seeking out services like therapy can help along side that and give you the extra support to process these emotions, giving you an outlet to express how you have been feeling in a safe space, as well as gaining tools and resources to cope and feel empowered to take on these new challenges in life on your own.

As far as the grieving process goes, remember that this is your journey of life. You are allowed to express your feelings even if right now it may feel like a rollercoaster of emotions. Grieving can take time and should not be a rushed process. Losing someone you know is difficult, learning to live without that person is difficult, and adjusting you new life without them can be difficult. However it is possible to push through these hard times, to pick yourself up, and to regain your power again. You have the power to control those thoughts, those feelings, and those reactions. I hope you find some peace in reading this and I hope that you are able to find that support in your life to find your purpose again. Take your time with things. It is okay to slow down and take moments to yourself, it is okay to feel sad, it is okay to just lay around and do nothing. There is a needed balance and allowing yourself to feel all of your emotions is okay.
