Counseling in different countries

I was initially unsure whether to sign up for this? Could you work with people from the UK effectively? Would the time difference be problematic? Have you worked with clients from the UK before?

Hello! I want to first thank you for reaching out and taking the first step in your mental health therapy. I work with people around the world in my counseling practice, and yes it is just as effective as working with anyone in the US. I will use my counselor education and experience and take the same approach with you as I would with anyone else to build an effective counseling relationship while respecting cultural differences. The time difference will not be a problem for international counseling as I am very flexible and we will work together through the counseling process to make it work. My time zone is MST so you can get a feel on what days and times might work best for you. There are so many ways to communicate and use this app. We can just write if you like or we can do video and or phone once a week as well for 45 minutes. I can also add another live session (instant message, video or phone) if needed. I also will send you worksheets for you to reflect on in-between our sessions. The worksheets will help you continue to reflect on the things we talk about during our live sessions. Online therapy is a GREAT option for to get your mental health needs addressed by professional counselors from anywhere in the world. I know it can be hard to help from counseling professionals in certain areas for many reasons. BetterHelp is a GREAT option that you can use to get those needed addressed. You will have access to the BetterHelp app 24/7 and you can use it at anytime. I am anytime! I may not respond right away but I will within 24 hours (maybe a little longer on the weekend). I have been working providing counseling services online and with people across the world maintaining ethical practice standards and cultural awareness for over three years. You can journal as much as like you like.
