I just need help

My relationship is having trouble due to my mental health issues as well as my issues at work. I am lost and confused on what to do. I am having trouble sleeping.

Thank you very much for sharing your thoughts. I know sometimes life is difficult and we go through situations that are very tough for us. When this happens it's normal that we don't find meaning or an outcome that could be good for us at all. When things don't well, we try our best and just stay stuck in the same situation. We can not even be with ourselves as our self esteem and self confidence are affected by our challenging situation.

Nevertheless, it's important to remember that things will get better eventually and that hard times need to be faced head on, being authentic, that's the only thing that is going to assure us to be back again in the position that we want to be. Also, it's important to remember that these hard times, even when they are very unfair, unpleasant and tough, are the ones that give us experience and that can make us grow as people, so we can learn from them and address later higher challenges that we can have throughout our lives.

When we are having such a difficult situation that our relationship, work and even sleep are affected, it's normal that we feel completely lost and don't really know what to do to address the situation, change the things that are possible to be changed, and accept the ones that we can not change.

It's important to take a look at our social environment, relationship, work, family and personal life to identify which are the things that are not working and our degree of responsibility in them. It's also principal to explore and clarify our values so we can see if our life (responsibilities and free time) is aligned with them. Then, if there is something that we can change, it's key to plan how to do it, having long and short term goals.

Finally, it's fundamental to remember that asking for help and having a third person's opinion can be very positive when we don't know how to start moving on. 

I am sure you will be able to get over this difficult situation, you only need to make a plan and believe in yourself. Wish you all the best.
