In Mississippi, finding a therapist can feel harder when long drives, limited local options, or busy schedules get in the way. Much of the state is rural, and federal reports note shortages across many counties, which can make in-person care harder to reach. Online therapy can help close that gap by making it easier to connect with licensed therapists in Mississippi from home, whether someone lives in a larger city or in a smaller community. For people looking for therapy without adding a commute, online care may offer a more flexible way to get started.

BetterHelp offers one of the world's largest networks of therapists, with more than 30,000 qualified providers globally, and many people are matched in 24 to 48 hours. Therapy may cost around $70 to $100 per week, billed weekly or monthly. Insurance options may be available through BetterHelp for people seeking online therapy. Eligible individuals have an average copay of $23 per session, with coverage and cost varying by plan, provider network, and therapist availability.

I am a social worker licensed at LCSW level in Mississippi. Sometimes we need someone to help us make needed changes or keep track of how we’re doing with the many ways we and our lives can change. Becoming a social worker was a midlife transition for me. “It’s never too late.” was a saying that became a mantra as I learned from challenges related to making a new life 30+ years ago. But now, with a stronger cognitive perspective, I’d change that to, “It’s not too late right now”. My cultural background is mixed. To me, each person is unique, but our common humanity makes us alike. My experience is broad including : outpatient, inpatient, IOP, home health and hospice. I take an eclectic approach towards working with others, so that I can fit what I offer to your individual needs. Modalities and techniques I can bring to our work include: humanistic, insight-oriented, cognitive behavioral, wholistic, and solution focused .
