Finding a therapist in Arkansas can feel more manageable when care is available across the state, not only in larger hubs like Little Rock, Fayetteville, or Fort Smith. For people exploring therapists in Arkansas, online therapy can reduce the strain of long drives and limited local options that often come with a largely rural state. Whether someone is facing anxiety, depression, trauma, or a difficult life change, BetterHelp helps adults in Arkansas connect with licensed professionals, including LPCs, LCSWs, and LMFTs, who meet state requirements and can offer support from home or anywhere with a reliable internet connection.

For those looking for therapists in Arkansas with flexible payment options, BetterHelp accepts many major insurance plans, and eligible individuals' average copay is $23 per session. BetterHelp also offers more than 30,000 qualified providers globally, and many people using the subscription option are matched in 24 to 48 hours. Serving those who live in Little Rock, Jonesboro, Conway, and smaller Arkansas communities, online therapy can make it easier to find support for concerns like stress, relationship challenges, or grief while avoiding common barriers to in-person care.

I am a female Licensed Certified Social Worker in Arkansas with 44 years of experience. I am also a Reiki healer. I have had many years of experience and training in hypnotherapy and combine the hypnotic trance with healing techniques when requested. I work with clients to transform obstacles into resources and become the best version of themselves--one that goes beyond what their conscious mind thought was possible. Approaches I love are Mindfulness, Creative Change, and Wellness, and Healing. I tailor the model of treatment to the client rather than the client to the model of treatment I loved my work so much that I made many lateral moves, wanting to know as much about each area of therapy as possible. I stayed at a job for an average of two years before moving to another job to explore another area. For example, if I were were working with children, I would move to a job working with domestic violence, then addictions, then psychiatric disorders, etc. As a result, I have become a very competent generalist in all areas of therapy. I work with clients as a working team in a warm, interactive way. I have also worked extensively with active duty military service members and their families. I was a Military and Family Life Consultant, working with active duty military and their families on military bases for 10 years. I continue to love working with our military population. I have great respect for people who seek help for obstacles that are troublesome in their lives and work hard with them to achieve their goals. I have worked on my own issues in therapy to insure that my clients get excellent help from an emotionally healthy person. I would love to support you in your life journey.

Hello! I'm so glad you are here! If you are ready to make some changes in life that are likely to result in improved mental health, improved quality of life, and general well being; you came to the right place! My approach in counseling is in general to look at the person as a whole; not as their symptoms of problems. I use holistic, solution focused, and trauma informed models to engage client's in the counseling process and achieve their goals. I have been trained in trauma informed approaches such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR); which uses several tools to help client's negative past events have less emotional impact on their lives. I am also certified in a counseling approach called seed digging therapy (SD), which is developed off the therapy developed in the 90's called theophostic therapy. The premise of seed digging therapy (SD) is that each individual is generally mostly good, has a desire to be good to others, and wants to have a happy and productive life. The model states that a person's heart is a "garden" which in analogy has "weeds" and "flowers". Traumatic/Sad events tend to produce weeds and Happy events tend to produce flowers. Weeds in a persons heart can cause many negative reactions in life ranging from interpersonal relationships, self esteem, negative view of the world. Weeds occur when a lie is believed about that sad/bad event. Examples of weeds: not feeling adequate, feeling unloved, feeling a lack of importance. Flowers are developed when something happens that is positive/ good, and the individual believes something good about themselves. Examples of flowers: I do matter, I am important, I am loved, I belong in this group, family, friendship etc. The process of seed digging therapy is to find where the root of the negative thoughts started, and create an alternate belief opposite of the negative. Using narrative techniques, the person has the opportunity to recreate meaning if they want to. I am very excited to meet you, get to know you and help see you to the other side of where you want to be. If you would like to work more with me, we can talk more about your goals and what steps to take to get there.
