Getting appropriate mental health care can help you learn the coping strategies to overcome many of life’s challenges. If you’re looking for a therapist in Massachusetts, it can be beneficial to consider online treatment. Barriers to care, including a lack of in-person providers or transportation issues, can make finding in-person treatment challenging. An online platform like BetterHelp can make therapy more convenient and flexible.

BetterHelp has been offering online therapy for over a decade and allows you to work with a licensed clinical social worker, licensed therapist, or licensed psychologist from the comfort of your home at a time that works for your schedule. Plus, you can change providers at any time until you find one with whom you have a supportive therapeutic relationship. While BetterHelp does not currently provide group therapy, it does offer Christian and pastoral counseling for those who would like to integrate their faith into their sessions.

Whether you need support with anger management or help managing the symptoms of a mental health condition, online therapy can help. If you’re looking for an online therapist, MA has many providers who are experienced with counseling psychology and licensed to provide telehealth services across the state. Connect with one of the providers below to learn more.

I am a marriage and family therapist with 9 years of experience counseling a wide range of clients. I have worked with clients on grief and loss, depression and anxiety as well as substance abuse concerns. I take a warm approach with clients and use a client centered approach to therapy. I have been trained in cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy and approach the sessions in a collaborative manner always working together with people I am working with. I respect that you took this step to seek out a listening ear and I look forward to working together with you on this journey. I was born in New York and as a young child my family moved out to Los Angeles and I have been here ever since. Growing up I was always fascinated by the field of psychology and when I was going for my Bachelors Degree I therefore choose to major in psychology. I attended Touro College Los Angeles for my Bachelors degree and then pursued my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy through Touro University Worldwide. When working with clients I take a warm and empathetic approach and really try to hear what the client is saying. Therapy can be very rewarding but it is often challenging to talk about the difficulties that we face. In session I strive to create a supportive and safe space where we can work together mindfully and without judgement to increase wellness. Thank you for taking the time to look over my profile. I look forward to working together!

Hello, and welcome to my virtual office! I would first like to acknowledge your strength and courage in taking this step toward making your mental health and wellness a priority. To tell you a bit about my background, I am a licensed therapist in FL, MA, OR, and WA with over 10 years experience working with a variety of populations as I have strived to assist clients on their journey toward hope, growth, and healing. I am also well-versed in providing teletherapy services,. I would describe my style as laid back and conversational in nature. I view therapy as a collaborative partnership, in which the therapeutic alliance sets the foundation for successful outcomes. As an integrated therapist, I reject a “one size fits all” approach. I draw from various modalities as necessitated by the presenting issue, and believe that techniques should be tailored to individualized needs. I seek to minimize “labeling,” and strive to make a genuine human connection with clients as they share their unique worldview and experiences. Ultimately, I believe it is the client who is the expert of his or her own life. It is my goal to provide an empathetic space where clients feel safe and empowered to be their authentic selves and live in their truth. I look forward to working with you, and believe that together, we can foster positive change in your life.

Hello, I'm Hollis Greenspan, a licensed independent clinical social worker. Welcome to my profile page! By choosing to enter into therapy, you've taken the first step towards self-empowerment and making positive life changes. Change is a strange thing. Sometimes, the things that aren't working in our lives require altering something that we'd prefer not to let go of. Very often it's an idea or perception that needs to be released, and it's important to gain an awareness of the thoughts that maintain troublesome behaviors. As an advanced graduate of a transformation-oriented counseling program, I have gained skill in helping people to release stuck patterns of thinking and behavior. I primarily use Mindfulness, a form of thought reframing called "Reality Therapy", Focusing, and Psychosynthesis counseling to assist clients. Let me tell you a little about these latter two techniques. Focusing is a body-oriented practice that you can learn to do for yourself. It involves tuning in to deep levels of bodily sensations and accurately naming them, familiarizing yourself with a felt sense of the problem areas. Psychosynthesis is a post-Jungian approach to therapy work. The goal is to become aware of different, sometimes conflicting parts of your personality, to help them communicate and cooperate with each other. All parts of the personality are seen as having value, and this leads to acceptance of your self as a whole and diverse being. I have worked with people from all walks of life, different ethnicities and cultures, and make room for everyone's point of view. My practice is grounded in Buddhist philosophy, but I don't push anyone to learn or practice that particular view of reality. Here's the nitty gritty: I have a degree in cultural anthropology from Tufts University, a master's in social work from the University of Connecticut, and an advanced certification in counseling from The Synthesis Center in Amherst, Massachusetts. I have a special interest and many years of study in self-care, including nutrition, sleep hygiene, and other ways of embodying wellness. Other areas of interest and expertise: Body dysmorphia, aging, creative blocks and perfectionism, death and dying, career choices and difficulties, pet loss, existential crisis, gender identity. My experience working with depression, bipolar disorder, addiction, chronic illness, grief and loss, relationship problems, personality issues, and LGBTQ issues is extensive. I approach psychotherapy with humor, love, and compassion. You are in the driver's seat, and self-empowerment is the ultimate goal. You will find me open-minded, caring, gentle, and flexible. I look forward to meeting you.

In today's fast-paced society, mental well-being has become a cornerstone of a fulfilling life. Amid the daily challenges and stressors that can overwhelm even the most resilient individuals, seeking professional guidance often offers a path to clarity and balance. The journey toward improved emotional health involves understanding personal triggers, embracing self-compassion, and developing effective coping strategies. While self-help books and online resources provide valuable information, nothing compares to the personalized support offered by a qualified mental health professional. One-on-one sessions with experienced experts can help uncover the underlying issues contributing to anxiety, depression, or other emotional hurdles. With a careful and empathetic approach, these professionals tailor their advice to suit individual needs, ensuring that each person receives strategies that work best for their unique circumstances. Whether through cognitive behavioral techniques, mindfulness practices, or other innovative methods, the aim is to foster resilience and empower individuals to take control of their inner lives. For those living in bustling urban centers, engaging in face-to-face sessions in a welcoming environment can be particularly beneficial. Access to a caring clinician provides not only a safe space to explore difficult emotions but also builds a support network essential for long-term recovery. The process encourages self-reflection and greater insight into behavioral patterns that might otherwise go unnoticed. While the journey can be challenging at times, the rewards include enhanced emotional stability, improved interpersonal relationships, and a renewed sense of self-worth. In one notable case, the guidance provided by a highly trained therapist proved instrumental in navigating a tumultuous period. Through structured sessions and tailored interventions, the individual learned to identify stressors and develop healthier responses to adversity. This experience underscored the transformative impact that dedicated support can have on one's overall quality of life. In a region like Texas, community-based initiatives and accessible mental health programs further reinforce the value of professional help. These efforts emphasize early intervention, preventive care, and continuous support, ensuring that more people are equipped to face life's inevitable challenges. Ultimately, investing in mental well-being is an act of self-care that yields lifelong benefits. By embracing professional support, individuals can unlock new levels of emotional resilience and discover pathways to a brighter, more balanced future. Each step taken toward healing represents a commitment to personal growth, enabling a life filled with renewed optimism and strength. Embracing this transformative journey consistently paves the way for deeper understanding, lasting peace, and meaningful personal progress.
